The next morning.
Hannah woke up to find that the trending topic about her had vanished. Even the hashtag had been scrubbed. A search online yielded nothing.
This, Hannah knew, couldn't have been Lionel’s doing.
He simply didn't have that kind of power. She wasn't underestimating him; it was just a fact.
When Hannah went downstairs, Samuel was already there, ready to talk to her about that very thing.
"You didn't have someone do this?" Hannah asked, puzzled.
He shook his head, then reconsidered and nodded. "Well, yes and no. When my family started working on it, it seemed like someone else was already on it, and moving incredibly fast. By the time we realized, all the trending topics were already suppressed."
"Do you know some powerful figure? Is there some big shot helping you behind the scenes?"
"Quennel."
Other than him, she couldn't think of anyone else with that kind of influence.
"It has to be him!" Samuel said excitedly. "It's so weird, isn't it? They're brothers from the same mother, but why are they so different?"
"Is it because they grew up in different environments? But you said he wasn't always like this. How did he change so drastically? Did spending so much time with Sandra do this to him?"
Hannah listened to Samuel's rambling and shrugged. "Who knows? But maybe it really is because he was around Sandra for too long. Bad company corrupts, after all. Now that the posts are down, it doesn't matter anymore."
Meanwhile, at the airport.
Lionel had decided to go to Roxa and personally drag Sandra back. But just before boarding, he saw that the trending topics about Hannah had disappeared.
