Gary shot to his feet, so angry he raised his hand as if to slap her.
"The only reason I'm still here listening to your nonsense is because I'm your brother! Anyone else would have walked out ages ago!"
He didn't hold back, firing right back at her.
"Look at the stupid mess you've made! This had nothing to do with us, but you just had to interfere. And now? When Grandpa and Grandma find out and pull the plug on Mom and Dad's projects, how are you going to explain that to them?"
Gary's words instantly silenced Cherry, who had been about to argue back.
She swallowed hard, her voice laced with anxiety. "Gary, are you saying... this is going to affect Mom and Dad? That's impossible. This is between me and Hannah. How could it involve them? Don't scare me!"
Seeing his sister's naivety, Gary's voice turned cold.
"You're so dense, there's no point in explaining it to you. You don't need to know the details. Just pack your bags and get out of here right now."
"But Gary..."
Hearing her start to argue again, he roared.
