Mary was floored that Cherry would lie so blatantly and slander her in front of everyone. If that's how she wanted to play it, then she wouldn't hold back either. Cherry had struck first, so she shouldn't blame her for striking back.

Cherry was stunned. She never imagined Mary would record their call. If she had known, she never would have called her in the first place.

Hannah, suddenly being praised by Cherry, interjected, “Don't put me on a pedestal. We'll know if it's real or fake once we hear it. And even if audio can be faked, there are ways to detect it. Don't try to flatter me; you haven't earned that right.”

Hearing Hannah's words, Cherry panicked and cried out, “Hannah, we're family! You can't possibly believe her, can you? Don't forget, this is the woman who knew your husband was cheating and helped him hide it. Can you really trust anything a person that malicious says?”

“Cherry, you're obviously just scared, that's why you're grasping at straws. Real or fake? We'll know once we listen. Stop wasting our time.”
