My Deceased Wife Wants a Divorce (Hannah) novel Chapter 473

“He looked completely shattered, probably after I told him you didn't need him and could solve all your problems by yourself.”

“Hahahahahahaha.”

Hannah burst out laughing.

“Sandra always needed him for everything. No matter what happened, she would run to Lionel for help. And, in the past, so would I.”

“So he naturally assumed I needed him too. But now that you’ve told him I don’t, his whole world has collapsed. He just can’t handle it.”

As she spoke, Hannah recalled how, whenever something happened in the past, he was the first person she would think of, hoping he would come and help.

But every time she called him for help, Sandra would somehow appear at the most opportune moment and drag Lionel away.

Back then, she had no choice but to handle everything alone, whether it was driving herself through a storm or to the doctor with a high fever. Gradually, she got used to it.

No matter what happened, she would deal with it herself because there was no one around she could trust, no one willing to help.

So now, when faced with slander, she handled it herself. There was no instinctive fear or impulse to call someone for help.

Thinking about it now, she realized she should probably thank him. If it weren’t for him, she never would have become so independent, decisive, and resourceful.

“Anyway, I’m at the station now. I’ll call you after I’m done, and we can go out for dinner tonight and talk more about this.”

“Okay.”

Hannah hung up just as she arrived home. It had been a long day, and she still had more to do in the afternoon. She decided to take a quick nap before getting back to it.

Meanwhile, at the company.
