Would he follow the trail after receiving these valuable clues?
If the information was leaked and he still didn’t come for her, she would surely fall into despair and hate him even more.
But even if he did find her, there was no guarantee she could escape.
Sandra had a sinking feeling that this man was plotting something terrible.
She looked up, her gaze fixed on Quennel, trying to read him. But he just smiled faintly, stood up, and left the cell.
“Quennel!” Sandra suddenly screamed. “You already got what you wanted! Why are you still doing this? I told you everything I know! Why are you still torturing me? Are you even human?!”
The roar echoed behind him. Quennel paused and looked back at her.
“Whether I’m human isn’t important. What’s important is that you’re not. Do you really think I don’t know what you did to Hannah these past three years?”
Quennel turned to face her fully, his eyes narrowing as a flash of fury crossed his face.
“When you were doing those things to Hannah, did you ever stop to think why? Why were you tormenting her?”
“You were the one who chose to give up on that marriage, but when you regretted it, you took out all your hatred on Hannah. If you had the guts to go after Hannah, then I have the guts to go after you. I may have gotten what I wanted, but that doesn’t mean I’ll stop torturing you. You can stay here and pray that Lionel finds you soon and delivers you from this hell.”
With that, Quennel turned and walked away, his eyes burning with rage, his hands clenched into tight fists.
What he was doing now was nothing compared to the cruelty Sandra had shown Hannah.
