Hannah cringed.
How had she never realized what a smooth talker this kid could be?
“I'm craving a spicy noodle bowl from one of those food trucks. Go get one for me.”
“You got it!” Samuel pushed the door open, then leaned back in before closing it. “Hannah, I’d get you a spicy noodle bowl, I’d even kidnap the chef and have him cook it for you right here if you asked.”
“Get out of here! That's called kidnapping!”
Samuel chuckled and went on his way.
He was so thrilled today because he never expected James to actually call the police and have Lionel arrested.
Seeing the look of utter defeat on Lionel's face was a sight he could never get tired of. He wished he could see it again, hoping the idiot would keep making foolish mistakes and keep getting thrown in jail.
Hannah sat in the car, checking her phone for the latest news online.
It’s no wonder people said everyone in Hyro was a citizen journalist.
Lionel being arrested... every moment from his arrival at the station to his departure was “coincidentally” caught on camera by passersby.
Even the incident of him slapping someone outside his company building had been dug up.
Citizen journalists provided the gossip, the internet provided the platform, and in this digital age, everyone got to enjoy the show.
