My Husband's Betrayal My Brothers' Revenge (Rebekah) novel Chapter 122

Seated in the back of the car, Jensen's assistant asked worriedly, "Mr. Hawthorne, you didn't get the tea set. Your father might not be happy about that."

Jensen had been staring out the window, lost in thought. Hearing his assistant, a smirk played on his lips. "If I'd spent two million on it, he'd have skinned me alive."

"Huh?" The assistant was confused.

Jensen didn't bother to explain. Under his mother's watchful eye, if his father ever spent more on an item than it was worth, he'd be in for more than just a lecture. Jensen had already found another tea set he was sure his father would love.

"Mr. Hawthorne, I think we're being followed."

Jensen glanced at the rearview mirror and saw the luxury car tailing them. His expression hardened. "Pull over."

Seeing Jensen's car stop, Sienna told her driver to do the same.

Jensen stood by his car, the gentle sunlight filtering through the trees and dappling his face. His exquisitely sculpted features were set in a cold mask, his dark eyes reflecting Sienna's approaching figure.

Sienna cleared her throat and held out the tea set she had purchased. "This is for you. I saw you were a little short on cash, so I bought it for you. Don't get emotional." Her tone was haughty, dripping with condescension.

Jensen's gaze was icy, the fury in his eyes barely concealed. "If you follow me again," he said, his voice a low threat, "I'll send you to meet your brother."

The chilling words cut through the warm breeze and struck Sienna like a physical blow. She froze on the spot.

Jensen got back in his car, which shot away like an arrow.

Sienna's knuckles were white where she clutched the tea set, her eyes turning red. After a long moment, she hurled the two-million-dollar purchase onto the ground.

"Who does he think he is?" she screamed. That fool! He'd rather consort with a slut like Rebekah than give her a second look!

Before she could react, her mother-in-law was in her face, shoving a phone in front of her. "Is this you?"

On the screen was a photo of Jensen from behind, his hands cupping Rebekah's face as he blew a speck of dust from her eye. From that angle, it looked exactly like a kiss. The only people at the auction entrance had been Sienna and Candice; it was obvious who had sent the picture.

"It is," Rebekah said calmly. "But he's just a friend, and he was getting something out of my eye."

"Liar!"

A sharp slap cracked across Rebekah's face. She hadn't been able to dodge it. Stars burst behind her eyes, her cheek stinging violently.

"I tell you to get a divorce, and you refuse! Now you're cheating on my son behind his back! What do you take my son—what do you take the Forrester family—for? I'm going to teach you a lesson today!"
