My Husband's Betrayal My Brothers' Revenge (Rebekah) novel Chapter 161

She looked like a pixie from a fairytale, bright and lovely.

Benjamin frowned, rose from his seat, and pulled Rebekah out of the classroom.

"What are you doing here?" he asked, his tone laced with disapproval.

Rebekah let out a short, sharp laugh. "I came to my son's school event. Is that a problem?" She looked him up and down, then glanced back into the classroom, her eyes meeting Candice's triumphant smirk.

"What's wrong?" she asked Benjamin, her voice dripping with sarcasm. "Did I interrupt your happy little family moment?"

"What nonsense are you talking about?" Benjamin snapped, his face cold. "Is being jealous the only thing you know how to do? You knew Candice was going to be here, didn't you?"

He stared at her, his eyes filled with malice.

Shawn had made plans with Candice for the event weeks ago; there was no way he would have wanted Rebekah here. She must have found out Candice was coming and showed up just to make a scene.

The thought deepened the disgust in his eyes.

"Candice is your sister, yet you constantly go after her. Yes, Shawn adores her, but that doesn't give you the right to come here and try to embarrass them."

Benjamin's words were so absurd that Rebekah could only laugh. She, Shawn's biological mother, was somehow the one causing a scene by showing up at her own son's school?

Her question seemed to startle him. He couldn't let her leave now; he had more planned for her. Today was the day he would finally make his parents get a divorce. But after being so hostile, how could he ask her to stay?

Candice stepped in smoothly. "Leave? Of course not! Now that you're here, sister, you should at least stay to watch Shawn's performance, right?" She looked pointedly at Shawn. "Isn't that right, Shawn?"

Given an out, Shawn quickly took it. "Ms. Candice is right. Since you're here, you might as well stay."

Rebekah turned her gaze to Benjamin. "Any objections?"

He pulled her aside, his voice a low threat. "I'm warning you, we are in public. For Shawn's sake, do not cause any trouble for Candice."
