My Husband's Betrayal My Brothers' Revenge (Rebekah) novel Chapter 162

Rebekah looked him straight in the eye. "Benjamin, you need to accept reality. No matter how close Candice and Shawn are, I am his mother. If you insist on playing the happy family in public, fine. We can go to city hall today and file for divorce. I won't even fight you for custody of Shawn."

Divorce again.

Benjamin scoffed. "Is that your only move?" He was tired of her threats. Every time she got jealous, she brought up divorce, but it never actually happened.

"You know you can't survive without me. So what if you have the Hawthornes backing you now? You're a divorced woman with a child. What value do you have left?" he sneered. "Rebekah, don't test my patience."

With that, he turned and walked back to Candice and Shawn.

Rebekah stood frozen, her face pale. It wasn't sadness she felt, but a profound disappointment.

For so long, she had seen him as her savior, a delusion that hid the truth. Now, with clear eyes, her vision was finally sharp.

No matter what, she was getting that divorce today.

The anniversary celebration was held in the school's grand auditorium. The opulent stage and elegant hall were filled with the city's elite and their families.

"Of course, sweetie! You're so adorable, every picture will be perfect," Candice cooed.

"You should go get ready. Your teacher is calling you," Benjamin said.

As soon as Shawn left, Benjamin shifted his seat to sit next to Candice. They chatted happily, making Rebekah seem even more like an outsider.

The stage was filled with one adorable children's performance after another.
