My Husband's Betrayal My Brothers' Revenge (Rebekah) novel Chapter 195

"Little sister, we'll be arriving in The Capital in three days."

Rebekah was surprised. "You don't have to come so early just to pick me up. There's still two weeks left."

"We wanted to see you sooner. Besides, we have some business to take care of. I've booked a table at The Verdant Bistro in three days. We'll meet there."

The thought of meeting them made Rebekah's nerves tingle. Bathed in the warm orange sunlight, she nodded and whispered, "Okay."

A long sigh seemed to travel through the phone, followed by the faint sound of a chuckle.

"By the way, your third brother is dealing with some trouble at work, so it will just be me and your second brother. Is that okay with you?"

"That's fine. Work is more important," Rebekah said considerately.

There was a moment of silence on the other end of the line before her brother chatted for a few more minutes and then hung up. Rebekah wasn't bothered by who was coming to get her. She put down her phone and went into the kitchen.

Meanwhile, far away in the Powell family estate in Southborough, in a private study, Rory Powell slammed his hand on the desk, glaring fiercely at the man sitting behind it.

"Bringing our little sister home is the most important thing! I have to go!"

The eldest brother, Blaze, was busy texting his assistant to adjust his schedule. He answered without looking up. "I said that at the beginning. I haven't said it since."

The implication was clear: Rory could have revealed himself to Rebekah later, but he chose not to.

Rory felt deeply wronged. He had been about to tell her everything in front of City Hall, but his brother's call had interrupted him. Because of the livestream at the university anniversary and his recent scandal, people were making moves against him. Blaze had ordered him to come back and handle it, to keep the mess from touching their sister. So he had rushed back, only to find the situation was more complicated than he had thought. And this time, his eldest brother wasn't helping him. He was completely on his own.

Caleb, having finished organizing the medical kit, spoke slowly. "I did some digging. Turns out our little sister was the youngest medical prodigy at Capital Hospital. But a while back, the tendons in her hands and feet were all severed. The Forrester family will have to answer for that."

He looked at his three brothers. "When we go to The Capital, it's not just to bring our sister home. It's to get revenge on her behalf."
