My Husband's Betrayal My Brothers' Revenge (Rebekah) novel Chapter 98

Candice was wearing a stunning red gown that hugged her dancer's body, showcasing every slender, graceful curve. She glanced at the conference hall Rebekah had just exited and smiled sweetly.

"I heard there was a designer conference here. Were you attending, sister?"

Patricia looked from Candice to Rebekah. "Is that your sister?"

Rebekah turned to Patricia. "Don't you have somewhere to be? You should go. I'll treat you to dinner some other time."

Patricia nodded cheerfully. "Alright, I'll see you later!"

Once she was gone, Rebekah faced the other two. Her eyes fell on the hand Benjamin had placed on Candice's waist, and a cold, dismissive smile touched her lips. "What else would I be doing here? Dancing?"

The moment Rebekah's gaze fell on his hand, Benjamin snatched it away. For some reason, ever since Candice had confessed her feelings, he'd been plagued by a nagging sense of guilt, as if he were betraying Rebekah. But he couldn't just abandon Candice.

Rebekah's sarcastic tone made him frown. "Do you have to be so passive-aggressive? Candice is your sister, not your enemy."

Candice put on a wounded expression. "Sister, it wasn't my fault you hurt your leg. You were punished for your own crime. Just because you can't dance anymore doesn't give you the right to take it out on me. Besides," she added, her voice dripping with false concern, "I was just worried about you. You've never been involved in the design world. I was afraid you'd embarrass yourself by trying to barge in."
