Seraphina quickly picked up the remote and turned off the TV.
“I’m sorry for what Aiden said about you,” she muttered gently.
Amelia turned to her, eyes filled with tears and pain. Her entire body trembled from the weight of the betrayal.
“I loved him so much,” she whispered, her voice cracking. “I went against my family for him. I gave him everything… and in the end, he dumped me, rejected me. He sent people to kill me. And now he’s lying to the public about me.”
She choked on the words, the pain clawing through her chest.
She had never felt this kind of agony before.
In just one week, her peaceful world had crumbled into a nightmare. She hadn’t wronged anyone. She’d been kind. A good Luna to the people of Red Moon Pack. A devoted wife. A loving mother.
So why? Why did it all fall apart like this?
The weight of everything, her child’s death, Aiden’s betrayal, the attempt on her life, pressed down on her, suffocating her.
Tears streamed down her cheeks as Seraphina moved closer, sitting beside her on the bed. She gently pulled Amelia into her arms, offering the one thing she knew Amelia needed most right now: a quiet, steady shoulder to cry on.
No words. Just comfort.

Amelia wept, letting the pain pour out, clinging to Seraphina like a lifeline.
After some time, her sobs softened. She pulled away, wiping at her swollen eyes.
“Thank you,” she whispered hoarsely.
Seraphina passed her a tissue.
The room fell into a still silence, and then finally, Amelia spoke again, breaking it gently.
“Thank you for saving my life. But… how did you know my name?” she asked, her eyes narrowing with curiosity. She remembered Seraphina calling her name when she first saw her. But Amelia never told her who she was.
“Uhm…” Seraphina hesitated and glanced at Kael, then back at Amelia.
“I knew you as Aiden’s wife. The Luna of Red Moon Pack. I was on my way to a business meeting with your… now ex–mate,” she explained carefully. “I’m truly sorry for everything that happened to you.”
Amelia kept staring at her, doubt flickering in her eyes, but finally, she nodded slowly.
“I need to get back to Red Moon Pack,” she muttered. “I need to make them pay for what they did to me. I need to find the person who killed my child…”
Seraphina sighed deeply.
“Amelia, even if you want revenge, you can’t go back like this. You need to be prepared… really prepared.”
“And how am I supposed to do that?” Amelia asked bitterly, her voice flat. “I have no one. Just myself… and my unborn baby.” She stared into nothingness, empty.
“You have me now,” Seraphina said quietly.
Amelia turned to her, confused.
“What do you mean?”
“I’ll help you take revenge on Alpha Aiden Miller and his family. I’ll help you find the person who killed your daughter and bring them to justice,” she said with quiet certainty.
Amelia blinked at her in disbelief.
“And how do I know you’re not just trying to use me?” she asked, her voice cold. “I’m not interested in your help.”
Seraphina didn’t flinch. She smiled gently and held Amelia’s gaze.
“I’m not going to use you. I’m offering you a chance, because if you go after them on your own, you won’t win. You don’t have the money or the resources… but I do.”
“Nice to meet you,” Amelia said softly, trying to gather her composure.
A stepped forward, pulling a ffrom her bag.
“Mrs. Amelia,” she began, “this is a legal document for identity change. Your name, date of birth, background, everything will be changed. Once signed, you will also be entitled to half of Mrs. Seraphina’s estate.”
Amelia turned slowly to Seraphina, eyes wide.
“If I change my name to yours… that means I’ll be your adopted daughter.”
Seraphina nodded calmly.
Amelia’s lips parted slightly in shock. She would be rich. Protected. Backed by someone powerful.
She didn’t hesitate.
She didn’t care about her old name anymore. Or her identity. All she cared about was revenge justice, for herself and her daughter.
She picked up the pen and signed the documents without even reading them.
Kate smiled. “Congratulations, Mrs. Amelia. Your new name is now Cassia Wrenmoor. Welcome to a world of wealth, power… and welcome to Velaris Pack.”
Amelia’s brows furrowed.
A new pack?
She looked up at Seraphina, confused.
“You… you’re an Alpha?”
Seraphina smiled faintly.
