**In Fragile Moments We Discover Strength Hidden In Stillness**

**Chapter 49**

“Let’s go,” he says, his voice steady as he tilts his head toward the exit. Without hesitation, I follow him, curiosity bubbling inside me like a hidden spring. I don’t dare to question where we’re headed; something in his tone tells me that this journey is important, perhaps even transformative.

“Apphia, I can try to help you contact your wolf,” he offers, his gaze steady and sincere.

“How?” I reply, my heart racing at the thought of reaching out to Ziora.

“I can enter the beyond realm, and if she has left, that’s where she’ll be,” he explains, his words painting a picture of a mystical world. The beyond realm is not just a place; it’s a realm teeming with supernatural spirits and filled with dazzling, ethereal creatures. It is the sanctuary where our wolf spirits dwell before they bond with their human counterparts. A world of contrasts, the beyond realm is a delicate balance of good and evil, light and darkness, heaven and hell.

As we arrive at our destination, I am struck by the sight before me—a sprawling garden, meticulously crafted and lush with soft green grass. The air is charged with enchantment, and at the center stands a fringe tree, its branches adorned with clusters of exquisite white flowers that seem to glow in the gentle light.

“What’s this place?” I whisper, awe washing over me like a warm tide.

“It used to be my old apartment,” he replies, a hint of nostalgia lacing his voice.

The walls are draped in long, cascading ivy, their leaves whispering secrets as they climb toward the open sky. The roof, absent in places, allows beams of sunlight to dance upon the ground, illuminating the garden’s beauty. It feels both extraordinary and serene, a sanctuary untouched by the chaos of the outside world. The small pond reflects the sky, rippling softly, and yet it radiates warmth, inviting and comforting.

How did this enchanting place come to be? The very thought captivates me, pulling me deeper into its magic.

“How?” I ask, my curiosity piqued.

“A powerful mage created this garden,” he reveals, and the word ‘magic’ hangs in the air like a spell.

Mages are nearly mythical in the city, their existence shrouded in whispers and legends. Though they coexist with shifters, there’s an unspoken tension between them. The mage covens reside on the outskirts, primarily in the West, their presence a rare and often feared phenomenon.

Confusion swirls within me. Why would a mage dedicate their talents to crafting a sanctuary for lycans? I can feel the purity of this place, its life force thrumming in harmony with the earth. Before I can voice my thoughts, he continues, his voice steady yet heavy with history.
