Chapter 243 Ride With You
Finally, Oriana found a carrot and stepped into the stable, coaxing the spoiled little mare with gentle patience.
Once Stormwind was fitted with her saddle and bridle, Oriana mounted and led her around the outer paddock for a brisk lap.

Brimming with energy, she guided Stormwind back toward Micah.
“Micah,” she called out, her eyes alight, “hold my hand–I’ll take you with me.”
Micah looked at her, his gaze deep and steady, like an endless ocean.
But as he approached, Stormwind grew restless, stamping her hooves and tossing her head.
Oriana tightened her grip on the reins and leaned forward, whispering something softly into the horse’s ear. Stormwind flicked her tail a few times, clearly displeased, but eventually quieted down.
Taking advantage of the moment, Oriana reached out, grabbed Micah’s hand, and helped him step into the stirrup, pulling him up with all her strength.
Once mounted, Micah seemed a little stiff—awkward, even–shifting uneasily in the saddle. Oriana reached for his hand and guided it around her waist.
“Hold me tight,” she instructed gently. “Don’t be afraid.”
His palm was large and warm, easily spanning her waist.
To anyone watching, it looked more like Micah was embracing her protectively rather than clinging for balance.
Oriana patted his hand reassuringly, then gave the reins a light tug, urging Stormwind forward.
The horse, still temperamental, wanted to break into a gallop, but Oriana reined her in firmly. “Easy, Stormwind. Slow down.”
The mare snorted, but obeyed.
Oriana smiled and gave her a fond pat on the neck in reward.
Micah turned his head slightly, watching her with quiet admiration. The setting sun reflected in his eyes, narrowing them into crescents of light and warmth..

A tender impulse overtook him. Leaning forward, he brushed a kiss against the corner of her lips.
Oriana gasped in surprise, almost losing her balance as she whipped around.
Thankfully, Micah’s strong arms immediately tightened around her, shielding her f and keeping her steady.
“Micah!” she exclaimed, her face flushed with color, eyes wide with embarrassment.
He gave her a sheepish smile. “Sorry. I couldn’t help myself.”
Oriana turned away quickly, afraid that if she met his gaze again, he might be tempted to try
it once more.
But sharing one saddle left her little room to escape.
When he leaned in, just slightly, his lips brushed the shell of her ear.
His breath was warm, carrying a teasing murmur that sent shivers down her spine.
“How did you convince Stormwind to let me ride with you?” he asked.
Oriana blinked mischievously and replied, “I told her that if she behaved and made you happy, she wouldn’t have to eat pineapples anymore. I didn’t think she’d actually understand.”
Micah was momentarily at a loss for words–then sighed, realizing she’d outwitted him again.
Still, it was a trap he was more than happy to fall into.
Under the golden sunset, Stormwind trotted lazily toward the horizon, carrying their intertwined shadows–an image of quiet sweetness and unspoken devotion.

Micah and Juliet Rose naturally ended up settling in Oriana’s bedroom.
After washing up, Oriana returned to find a sleeping beauty sprawled across her pale blue bed–a picture too perfect to disturb.
Not long ago, she had worried that he was holding back his urges.
Now, it seemed she’d overcorrected–these days, they were rarely apart, always finding an excuse to have sex.
As the year drew to a close, life only grew busier

Chapter 243 Ride With You
Bryan had chosen an auspicious day to gather his old classmates and comrades at Jindiwood. Together, they would accompany Oriana and her husband to visit their former captain, Niall, at Nonrow Manor.
Oriana carefully picked out matching black suits for herself and Micah–somber, respect attire.
Kieran arrived ten minutes late, slightly breathless as he bowed apologetically. “Son an urgent call that held me up.”
He glanced discreetly at Micah. “Sir, the information you asked me to look into earlier- there’s finally been some progress.”
Micah nodded slightly. “We’ll talk about it after the visit.”
For now, nothing was more important than the memorial.
Kieran understood immediately. “Yes, sir. Let’s head out.”
