He took her hand. "Are you hiding something from me?"

Claudia smiled and reassured him, "I told you, it's a surprise. Just be patient."

York gazed at her playfully charming expression, feeling a growing sense of unease.

The doorbell rang, and Wilma went to answer it.

Claudia saw Peter enter with a gift and hurried over to greet him. "Peter!"

They chatted and laughed as they walked into the living room. When Peter saw York, his expression immediately hardened.
