The next day at noon, York went to the hospital to find Claudia, but her colleagues told him she had taken leave.
At the same time, at a newly opened, fully furnished villa development downtown, Claudia was leaving with her parents after paying the deposit.
Jessica and Felix looked worried.
Claudia reassured them, "Dad, Mom, I was originally planning to open my own clinic, but my senior colleague convinced me to join the Harvest Family Hospital. Although my department is under the hospital's management, I get a good share of the profits on top of my salary."
But Jessica was still concerned. "Claudia, you're divorcing York. You'll have a lot of expenses. You should save your money. Your father and I don't need to live in such a nice place."
Claudia was firm. "Dad, Mom, this villa is for all of us. When I'm divorced, I'm moving in with you. I'll be in charge of making money, and my brother will focus on his studies. You two can spend your days gardening, playing chess, and joining a dance class. You can cook for my brother and me. We'll live happily, however we want."
"Your daughter earns good money with her own skills, so please, use it without worry," Claudia added. "I'll have someone come and set up the house, and we'll move in this May."
Cyrus was York's uncle.
York was currently mediating the relationship between the Grant and Vance families.
Even if Cyrus stood up for her, York wouldn't turn against him and ruin their relationship.
With Cyrus on her side, she was sure this separation would succeed.
That night, around ten, at the bar on the first floor of The Imperial Club.
Claudia and Darleen Ferguson had hired four male escorts. Darleen, with a man on each arm, coolly posted a picture to her social media.
Claudia was a lightweight, so she didn't dare drink much.
Hiring the escorts was just for fun anyway, since it wasn't her card they were charging.
Claudia moved a full bottle of red wine away from Darleen. "Darleen, I haven't seen Peter around lately. What's up?"
Darleen scratched her head. "Oh, him? His family is pressuring him to get married, so he ran off abroad to get some peace and quiet."
Claudia nodded in understanding.
