Claudia glanced at Ann but didn't respond.

York lowered his gaze, masking the emotion in his eyes.

He calmly walked over to Claudia and said, "Is it possible to start her rehabilitation therapy this afternoon? She's been suffering so much lately. I want her to start treatment as soon as possible so she can recover quickly."

He didn't want to wait another day. He wanted to resolve this matter as quickly as possible so he could properly explain everything to Claudia.

A smile crept onto Ann's lips as she listened to York. She couldn't believe he was showing so much concern for her right in front of his ex-wife.

Ann explained coyly, "Dr. Watkins, please don't mind him. York is just too worried about me. If it's too much trouble, I can wait until Monday."

Claudia's eyes met York's, and she understood the unspoken message in his gaze. Cyrus was still in Rhoderia, so she didn't need to go to Grant Manor for the time being. It was the perfect opportunity to deal with the Ann problem.

Claudia stood up. "Since Mr. Ferguson is so concerned, then be here at 2:30 this afternoon. On time."

York gave Claudia a look before leaving the office with Ann.

Ann hummed a little tune as she walked into her house, telling her mother, Laurel, that York was personally taking her to the hospital for therapy that afternoon.

A sudden wave of unease washed over her. "Mom," Ann said to Laurel, "why don't you come with me this afternoon? And stay by my side every second."

At 2:30 that afternoon, Ann and Laurel arrived at the hospital on time.

Ann noticed York's gaze fall on her mother and quickly explained, "York, I know you're busy. Since Dr. Watkins has already agreed to treat me, you should go ahead with your work. My mom can stay here and take care of me."
