Obedience No More He's the One I Deserved novel Chapter 333

"Sorry, babe ... I'm sorry ... " Ethan's voice was hoarse, almost like it came from deep in his soul. "Take care of yourself, don't get hurt."

Dawn didn't move, just let him hold her. She probably didn't even hear him.

Her eyes stared blankly at the ceiling.

Tears slid quietly from the corners of her red eyes.

Am I dreaming?

Must be a dream.

She and Ethan were divorced.

The guy who once said he wanted to be with her was already doing this with someone else.

Outside the restroom, people started knocking and complaining. Dawn breathed lightly and pulled away from him without looking at him.

"Go."

Ethan was startled.

"I'm leaving too."

She got off the sink and said softly, "Anna's waiting outside. If you still want it, see me in a dream."

That hit Ethan like a knife in the chest, but Dawn didn't look back.

She opened the door and walked out.

Her head spun and she felt even more dizzy.

"Next time ... don't drink this much."

Back at the table, Anna saw her swollen lips and cursed instinctively. "Wait, what the hell happened in the bathroom? Who did this?!"

Dawn let out a vague "Ah?" and looked confused. "Nothing, I was dreaming."

Anna was left speechless.

Are you kidding me?

Who in a dream would kiss her so hard it left her lips swollen?!

Anna gritted her teeth and slammed the table. "I'm going to find out who did this to her!"

But before she could even roll up her sleeves, a man walking calmly toward them made her freeze.

No way ...

Was it him? Did he ... kiss her?

The thought alone made Anna shiver. She couldn't imagine how Dawn would react when she sobered up. Would she want to kill her?

While she was lost in her thoughts, Jonathan had already reached them.

His cold gaze swept over Anna.

He said nothing, then turned toward the woman who was already out cold.

"Hey, Mr. Curran!"

Anna saw him reaching out and thought he was going to hit Dawn. Mustering her courage, she said, "Maybe coming to a bar wasn't the best idea, but you wouldn't hit her in public, would you? I'll call the cops!"

Jonathan raised an eyebrow, his voice icy. "Call the cops?"

"Y-Yes!" Anna stood between them with her arms spread, like a mother hen protecting her chick. "Dawn's drunk! I won't let you touch her!"

She thought she looked fierce, but to everyone else, it just looked like a pathetic performance.
