I disagree. Ms. Hoffman’s design can’t be the youth collection of the Leslie Group this year. Compared to Ms. Hoffman’s work, I prefer the improvements that Anya made in the neckline and the font.”

My shocking words instantly silenced the whole room; even Leland didn’t expect me to oppose him. After a moment of being stunned, he finally realized my presence.

“Kay!” With a hint of panic, Leland walked up to me.”Sorry, I just felt that this design was more in line with the theme of the company’s new series. I thought you would like it too!”

Leland did not dare to look into my eyes. Was he feeling guilty for ignoring me, his wife?

Was he angry because I publicly embarrassed him and his lover?

I mocked myself, thinking, “See? He won’t give Anya a chance to explain. He wants to protect his lover and make Anya look guilty.”

I smiled and looked up at Caitlyn.”Ms. Hoffman, I have a question. To sign a contract with the Leslie Group, will you modify your design draft to the style that both Leland and I like? I’m referring to the design draft that you labeled as a copy. I actually quite like it. Can you change yours to that style?”

Caitlyn was taken aback, and whispers could be heard from the audience.

“What’s going on? Aren’t Ms. Perez and Mr. Pearson a loving couple? Why are they arguing about this?”
