Just like what Slater deduced, the real destination was a building in the city. A building where a helipad was available.
"Uh..." Teddy gulped as he saw some people waving at them, signaling them to stop at the entrance of the building’s parking space. However, Mark didn’t show any sign of slowing down.
"Sir Mark, they’re lowering their barrier gate," he muttered, catching one guy jumping in the way to stop them. "Sir...?"
Mark didn’t slow down, eyes on the guy waving at them. In his head, running over the guy wasn’t a problem. It was his fault if he got run over.
Meanwhile, the security guard who had jumped into their path held his breath upon seeing that the car was not slowing down.
"Out of the way!" the other security guard yelled, pulling the guy away.
Both of them rolled to the side, hitting their booth. At the same time, Mark’s car broke through the barrier gate.
"Hah!" the security guard, who had almost been run over, looked at the car’s rear in dread. Their shock, however, was short-lived when they heard another vehicle rushing in.
Multiple cars sped through the broken entrance, not stopping for anyone or anything. With the barrier now broken and the guard squeezed into their booth, the cars got in without any problem.
"What the..." The bodyguard paled, watching this speeding parade with wide eyes. "What’s going on?"
After all, they let the first car in because it had a VIP sticker. Hence, they didn’t stop it. However, the next car (Mark’s) that came a minute later didn’t have one. As protocol, they had to issue tickets. Obviously, they couldn’t anymore, because these cars would run over anyone in their way.

On the top floor of the parking space, the first vehicle that got in drifted to a stop right in front of the lift. The car was parked across to block the entrance, and without wasting time, the driver unbuckled his seatbelt.
As he did so, Shawn also quickly unbuckled Penny’s straps.
"Fast!" the driver called out, marching outside and into the trunk. As soon as the trunk opened, he picked up a rifle and strapped it over his shoulder. At the same time, Shawn carried Penny over his shoulder.
The moment Shawn got on his feet, a rifle was already tossed in his direction. Out of instinct, he caught it midair with Penny still on his shoulder.
SCREECH!
Suddenly, they heard a loud screech from the parking lot entrance.
"Go!" the driver yelled, and both of them started moving.
DING!
At the same time, the elevator rang, and Mark finally reached the floor. He immediately spotted the parked car, finally breaking his calm facade as he punched the steering wheel.
"Damn it!" he hissed, stomping on the brake pedal. Another loud screech pierced the air as their car spun to a stop. With a thud, the rear of their car hit a pillar.
Yet, Mark didn’t stop as he quickly removed his seatbelt and jumped out of the car.
"Stay right there!" Mark yelled at Teddy as he went, unbuttoning his blazer to reveal the pistols strapped across his body. He headed straight for the lift, seeing there was only one. So, he walked farther and searched for the emergency exit.
Sure enough, he spotted it in the corner near the lift.
Teddy, on the other hand, had just stepped out of the car. He didn’t feel it earlier, but now that he had, his legs were shaking uncontrollably.
He snapped out of it when he heard more cars driving into the parking lot. Teddy instinctively stepped behind the pillar to protect himself, coughing slightly from the smoke and dust that filled the air.
"Over there!" Teddy yelled as he saw men jumping out of the cars, pointing to where Mark was headed. "I think there’s a chopper on the rooftop!"
They probably didn’t need that information, but just in case they hadn’t seen the chopper descending earlier. Some men turned to Teddy, but didn’t stop as they rushed in the direction he pointed.
As they did, Teddy flinched and jumped back a little.
Guns.
BANG! BANG!
Shawn opened fire at the entrance while his colleague climbed into the ascending chopper. He and Penny had already made it into the helicopter, but now he needed to provide cover for his comrade.
"Come on, Brad!" he yelled, holding out his hand.
At the same time, he caught Mark peeking out and firing without hesitation. Shawn ducked on the chopper’s floor, returning fire with the same precision. Meanwhile, the driver, Brad, climbed up.
The chopper was already ascending, making it harder to climb. As he was getting in, a searing pain hit his leg.
"Ughh—" the man almost slipped when Shawn grabbed his arm, pulling him in. As soon as they were inside, both took cover behind the open entrance.
At the same time, Mark finally sprinted outside as fast as he could. The chopper was already high, but that didn’t matter. Jumping on the railing, Mark used it as a springboard to leap and reach out.
Mark managed to grab the helicopter’s landing skid.
The people inside felt his weight. Shawn peeked over and saw Mark dangling in the air.
"You—" Shawn pointed a gun at Mark, only for Mark to pull the trigger first. Hiding behind the open door, they heard Mark fire a couple more times.
Meanwhile, Mark emptied his gun at the entrance to buy time. Tossing the pistol away, he pulled something out and slapped a device onto the helicopter before letting go, swinging himself back onto the rooftop.
At the same time, Shawn looked over and was ready to fire, but saw Mark rolling down the rooftop.
"What are you doing?" Brad hissed. "Kill him."
Shawn raised his gun and pointed at Mark, but instead of pulling the trigger, he pulled away and rose, closing the door instead.
"Why didn’t you kill him?! He shot me!"
"There’s no point in that!" Shawn roared back. "We got away with the code. That’s all that matters."
