Chapter 148: Family Secrets Unveiled
(God’s POV)
Adrian gently brushed away Hazel Green’s hand with an indifferent expression. His amber eyes turned cold as
ice.
“If you truly cared about her, you should come back to see her earlier,” he said, his voice cutting through
have
the underground parking garage’s silence.
Hazel’s smile instantly froze on her artificially enhanced face. She remained silent, her gloved hands clenching at her sides.
Adrian turned away without another word. “I have other matters to attend to.”
His footsteps echoed against the concrete walls as he walked toward his car. The sound grew fainter until it disappeared completely.
Hazel watched his vehicle disappear into the distance. Only then did she pull out her phone with trembling fingers.
“Have you confirmed the DNA verification results?” she asked urgently.
The voice on the other end delivered the response she’d been waiting for. Her expression shifted from anxiety to satisfaction.
She ended the call with a sharp tap. A sinister smile spread across her face like poison.
“Samuel Whitmore, oh Samuel,” she muttered to herself. “You want to find your daughter back, but I won’t let you have your way.”
Her eyes gleamed with malicious triumph. Years ago, she had switched her dead baby with their child. Now she would never allow them to reunite.
(Elena Blackwood’s POV)
At the Southern Territory Central Healing Institute, I sat at the Healer’s Station studying William Parker’s medical records. The pages rustled as I turned them, searching for something I couldn’t quite name. “What are you looking at so intently?” Hugo Ashworth’s voice suddenly appeared behind me.
I startled, nearly dropping the file. “Just reviewing patient progress.”
Hugo moved closer, his amber eyes scanning the documents. “William Parker has been transferred to a regular ward and is recovering well. What’s really capturing your attention?”
Heat rose in my cheeks. “I was curious why his daughter hasn’t visited the hospital.”
Hugo’s expression grew knowing/“Dr. Edmond told me you’ve been asking about my personal and family
matters.”
My mouth opened but no words came out. I felt completely exposed under his gentle scrutiny.
He walked away with a subtle smile, leaving me speechless and unable to defend myself.

Chapter 148 Family Secre
(God’s POV)
In Riverside City, Samuel Whitmore burst into their private chambers with excitement radiating from every
pore. His mate Dorothea sat by the window, cradling a doll in her arms.
“Catherine, wonderful news!” he exclaimed. “Our daughter has been found. She’s coming home!”
Dorothea locked up with confused eyes. “What are you talking about?”
She held the doll closer to her chest. “Our daughter has always been here.”
Samuel’s heart broke as he looked at the lifeless toy she treated as their child. He sat beside her, gently embracing her shoulders.
“You’ll be happy when our daughter returns,” he whispered tenderly.
Dorothea’s eyes suddenly lit up with pure joy. “I miss our daughter! I haven’t seen her in so long.”
Samuel’s hands moved to tie her hair ribbon with infinite gentleness. The devotion of a mate who had never wavered despite her condition.
“I promise to bring our daughter back in grand style,” he said softly.
(Elena Blackwood’s POV)
Two days later, Jane Ports and I were making our rounds when intense arguing erupted from William Parker’s hospital room. The shouting echoed through the entire corridor.
We hurried toward the commotion. Through the doorway, I saw William Parker throwing a cup against the
wall.
“Get out!” he roared. “I have no such ungrateful daughter!”
Sandy Parker stormed out angrily, her face twisted with rage. “I’m not your real daughter anyway!”
She whirled around to face him one last time. “You deserve to have no one care for you in old age!”
Sandy encountered Jane and me in the Institute Corridor. She gave me a dismissive look before strutting
away arrogantly.
A pack nurse approached us, shaking her head in disapproval. “Sandy Parker suddenly appeared claiming she wasn’t his biological daughter.”
The nurse’s voice dropped to a whisper. “She said she was actually from a wealthy werewolf family and
should have lived a life of luxury.”
“She blamed her father for hiding her true identity,” the nurse continued. “Said he made her suffer through poverty when she deserved better.”
(Elena Blackwood’s POV)
At noon, Marcus arrived at the institute carrying a thermal lunch box. His golden eyes found me immediately
as he approached the Healer’s Station.
“Margaret asked me to deliver this to you,” he said, setting the container down carefully.
A curious nurse nearby perked up with interest. “Elena, who is this handsome gentleman?”
