Chapter 80: Who dares to bully my Sweetheart!
(Elena’s POV)
“Who dares to bully my Sweetheart!”
The sharp cry pierced through the shopping plaza like a battle horn. Dorothea Whitmore rushed out of the Enchanted Doll Boutique, her eyes blazing with protective fury.
She hurled Comfort Doll in her hand directly at Diana Blackwood and Isabella Blackwood. The soft toy struck Diana’s shoulder with surprising force.
“Bad women! Bad women!” Dorothea shouted, her voice carrying the innocent rage of a child protecting
someone precious.
I quickly stepped forward, my hands reaching out to calm her. “Aunt Dorothea, please don’t-”
But Dorothea wasn’t finished. She grabbed another doll from the store display and threw it at

“Stay away from my Sweetheart!” Dorothea’s beautiful face was flushed with anger. “You’re hurting her!”
Isabella’s face twisted with indignation. Her carefully maintained composure finally cracked under the
assault.
“Are you insane?” Isabella shrieked, her voice echoing through the plaza. “You crazy woman! Do you even know what you’re doing?”
The words hung in the air like poison. Every person in the vicinity turned to stare at the unfolding drama.
Adrian Whitmore’s gentle demeanor vanished instantly. The temperature around him seemed to drop several degrees as his amber eyes turned cold as winter frost.
He stepped forward with predatory grace. His usual refined manner was replaced by something far more dangerous.
“Miss Blackwood,” his voice carried deadly calm. “I suggest you show proper respect to my mother.”
The Alpha authority radiating from him was suffocating. Isabella took an involuntary step backward,
“Regardless of your family’s status,” Adrian continued, each word precisely enunciated, “you will not insult my mother in my presence.”
(Isabella Blackwood’s POV)
My blood turned to ice as realization crashed over me. This beautiful, childlike woman was the legendary Dorothea Whitmore.
I had heard whispers about her throughout the Northern Territory’s elite circles. The Luna whose beauty was matched only by her tragic mental condition.
My mother stood frozen beside me, her eyes wide with recognition. Even she, who prided herself on social connections, had never seen Dorothea Whitmore in person.
Despite being in her late forties, Dorothea possessed an otherworldly beauty that age couldn’t diminish. Her

bone structure was exquisite, her skin luminous.
But it was the stories surrounding her that made my knees weak. The devoted mate Samuel Whitmore who would move mountains for her smile. The son who treated her like precious porcelain.
And most terrifying of all, the wealthy Alpha Louis Hill who had mysteriously vanished after attempting to take advantage of her vulnerability. No one spoke of what happened to him, but everyone understood the
message.
“Young Master Whitmore, 1-“I stammered, my earlier arrogance crumbling.
“You what?” Adrian’s smile was sharp as a blade. “You called my mother insane?”
(Diana Blackwood’s POV)
I had to salvage this situation before it destroyed our family’s reputation completely. My daughter’s foolishness had already done enough damage.
“Mrs. Whitmore,” I approached carefully, my voice gentle and apologetic. “Please forgive us. We meant no harm-

“Don’t come near me!” she cried, clutching Elena’s arm possessively. “You hurt my Sweetheart! Bad women stay away!”
I stopped in my tracks, my hands raised in surrender. The last thing I needed was to provoke her further.
Elena moved closer to Dorothea, her voice soft and soothing. “Aunt Dorothea, it’s okay. They’re leaving now”
Miraculously, Dorothea’s agitation began to subside. She listened to Elena’s gentle words, her breathing gradually returning to normal.
The power Elena held over Dorothea was remarkable. I filed this information away for future consideration.
Swallowing my pride, I forced a diplomatic smile. “We apologize for the disturbance. We’ll visit another day when it’s more convenient.”
Isabella opened her mouth to protest, but my sharp glare silenced her immediately. We had already lost this battle spectacularly.
As we prepared to leave, Isabella shot Elena a venomous look, “This is all your fault,” she hissed under her breath.
(Elena’s POV)
After the mother and daughter finally departed, I helped Adrian escort Dorothea back to her hospital ward. The confrontation had drained her, and she clung to my arm like a lifeline.
I glanced at my watch, surprised to see it was already two o’clock. “Adrian, I need to return to the institute.”
“I’ll escort you,” he offered immediately.
“Baby, don’t bully Sweetheart!” Dorothea’s voice piped up from her hospital bed, her eyes narrowing suspiciously at her son.
Adrian chuckled, his earlier coldness melting away. “Mom, when have I ever bullied anyone?”
“You’re a man,” Dorothea stated matter–of–factly. “Men bully women. That’s what they do.”

I couldn’t help but smile at her childlike logic. Despite her condition, there was an innocent wisdom in her
observations.
“Will you come back?” Dorothea asked me, her eyes wide with hope. “Promise you’ll come back to see me?”
My heart clenched at her vulnerability. I took her delicate hands in mine, feeling their slight tremor.
“Whenever you call for me, I’ll come,” I promised sincerely. “I won’t abandon you, Aunt Dorothea.”
Dorothea’s face lit up like sunrise “Really? You promise?”
1 promise”
Adrian watched this exchange with thoughtful eyes. Something shifted in his expression, a recognition I
couldn’t quite identify.
(Isabella Blackwood’s POV)
Back at the Blackwood Secondary Branch Manor, my rage finally exploded. I swept everything off the coffee table in the Secondary Manor Great Hall, sending crystal vases and porcelain figurines crashing to the floor.
“That b***h!” I screamed, kicking at the scattered debris. “How dare she humiliate me like t
Diana Blackwood surveyed the destruction with cold disapproval. “Are you finished with your antrum?”
“She made me look like a fool!” I continued ranting. “In front of Adrian Whitmore!”
“You made yourself look like a fool, Diana snapped. “Do you have any idea what you’ve done?”
Her voice rose with each word. “The Whitmore Family controls half of Riverside City’s economy. Their influence extends throughout the Southern Territory”
I stopped my destruction, finally registering the gravity in her tone.
“And you,” she continued mercilessly, “insulted the most protected she–wolf in their family. Her mate would
burn down cities for her happiness.”
My defiance crumbled. “But she’s just a crazy woman-*
“She’s the most beloved She wolf in the Southern Territory!” Diana’s hand connected with my cheek in a sharp slap. “And you called her insane in front of her son!”
I touched my stinging cheek, tears of frustration welling in my eyes. “It’s not fair. Elena gets everything.
Grandmother’s love, Adrian’s protection=”
“Elena is an outsider, Diana said more gently, pulling me into her arms. “But she’s clever. We underestimated
her.”
She stroked my hair with calculating fingers. “Don’t worry, darling. I’ll find a way to make Adrian Whitmore see
your worth.”
(Elena’s POV)
Adrian escorted me to the medical center’s entrance. Before I could get into my car, he stopped me with a
gentle touch on my arm.
“What do you think of my mother?” he asked, his amber eyes searching my face.
“She’s wonderful,” I replied honestly. “Innocent and pure–hearted.”

Adrian nodded slowly. “Would you consider becoming her goddaughter?”
The question caught me completely off guard. “Adrian, I-”
“She’s happier here in the Northern Territory than she’s been in years,” he explained. “Since meeting you, she
smiles more. Laughs more.”
I hesitated, thinking of my plans to leave the Northern Territory. “But I might not stay here much longer-
“Distance doesn’t matter, Adrian dismissed my concern. “We can visit you wherever you are.”
His earnestness touched my heart. I smiled, feeling a warmth I hadn’t experienced in years.
“Should I call you brother from now on?” I teased.
The word “brother seemed to hit Adrian like a physical blow. He stared at me with an expression I couldn’t decipher, as if seeing something that shouldn’t exist.
For a moment, he looked like he was seeing a ghost. Or perhaps, finding something he’d lost long ago.
After saying goodbye to Adrian, I drove back to the Northern Territory Central Healing Institut My mood was lighter than it had been in weeks, genuine laughter dancing in–my eyes.
As I approached the Healer’s Station, I spotted Marcus Blackwood standing with Sophia Riv Even in the crowded corridor, his presence commanded attention like a force of nature.
He wore his usual impeccable suit, standing straight as a pine tree. Impossible to ignore, even when I desperately wanted to.
I met his gaze coldly, then deliberately looked away with practiced indifference.
