Please Give Me Another Chance, Mrs. Hamilton novel Chapter 544

When Jean realized Brad was just staring at her coldly without uttering a word, she called out pitifully, "Brad." Tears poured down her face, and she started to weep quietly.

Noticing how upset Jean was, Lynn hastily grabbed a tissue and wiped her tears away. "Ms. Sawyer, weren't you always talking about how much you wanted Mr. Hamilton to come see you?

"Now that he's finally here, why are you crying? You should have a proper conversation with him and tell him how much you've missed him."

Deep down, she couldn't help but curse Jean for being so foolish. When Brad wasn't here, she couldn't stop thinking about him, but now that he was here, all she did was cry. What good would crying do? She should let him know how she felt. Otherwise, how would he understand what she had been through?

As her words sank in, Jean realized she needed to stop crying and start talking. "I've missed you so much I thought I was losing my mind, Brad. If I hadn't been sick, I would've gone looking for you myself. Why were you ignoring me? Did I do something wrong?

"You know I always listen to you. If I've done something to upset you or if you're unhappy about something, tell me! I'll change, okay? Please, just don't ignore me!"

The more she poured out her heart, the more aggrieved she felt, and the harder she cried. Soon, the only sound filling the hospital room was her gentle sobs.

Brad remained silent for a while, staring into her eyes before finally asking, "There's just one thing I need to know. As soon as you returned to the country, did you have someone run Nadine and Sean over?"

He believed what Jessie had told him because Cameron had found out about it too. Cameron just didn't say it as bluntly as Jessie did, for fear of ruining his relationship with Jean.

"I have your love, so why would I care about her? She's the one who came between us. Why would I bother with her when you love me so much? Did you get the wrong idea about something?"

As soon as her words fell, Lynn looked up at the ceiling hopelessly. At that moment, she desperately wished Jean would just shut up and stop talking altogether.

Due to the lingering effects of the anesthetic, Jean was panting heavily after speaking. Also, her eyelids felt like lead. No sooner had she finished her sentence than her eyes started to close again.

"I can't believe you're still trying to deceive me right now," Brad sneered, his eyes filled with disdain.
