Please Give Me Another Chance, Mrs. Hamilton novel Chapter 801

Nadine and Brad had a rather unpleasant encounter the other day at the hospital. Although Brad had driven her and Sean home, she had no intention of acknowledging Brad any more than she had to.

For the past six years, Brad had been an absent father, never involved in Sean's upbringing. Despite this, he who had no experience in raising a child dared to criticize Nadine, a mother who'd been caring for Sean for over six years.

It was Brad's arrogance that led to Sean's stomach ache and ultimately landed Sean in the hospital. This was something Nadine couldn't just forgive.

Since that day, Nadine had repeatedly reminded herself of one thing. In the past six years, Brad had been an absent husband. It was as if he never existed. So, there was no need for him to be part of Sean's life after all this time.

Thus, she only informed Avery about going to Pittsbrew this time and left Sean in Avery's care. In Nadine's view, entrusting Sean to Brad would be the most irresponsible decision she could make for Sean.

Therefore, Nadine was furious after knowing that Brad had taken Sean away. "Baby, didn't we agree that you would stay with Avery and not go to Daddy's place? Why did you break your promise with Mommy?" Nadine asked.

At this point, Nadine just wanted to climb through the phone and beat Brad up. What was Brad thinking? Brad, who couldn't even take care of a child, was pretending to care for Sean by bringing him to Phoenix Villa? What was he playing at?

"Baby, didn't we agree that you'd listen to Mommy? Weren't we supposed to be each other's angels?" In the past, Sean always listened to Nadine. Now, even he wasn't listening to her anymore. It must've been Brad's influence. That damn jerk!

Although Nadine hadn't verbally cursed Brad even once, she had cursed him countless times in her mind.

On the video call, Sean could see Nadine's expression clearly. From her expression, he could tell that she was upset.

In the next second, the person on the video call changed. Brad's annoyingly handsome face appeared on the phone screen.

He was wearing a white shirt. The sleeve on his right arm was rolled up, revealing a slender forearm. There was a pink scar on his forearm, standing out against the pale white shirt.

Brad was an incredibly good-looking person. Every part of him was perfect like a flawless piece of artwork. Now, the scar on his forearm ruined the whole aesthetic, adding a hint of ferocity to an otherwise serene picture.

The moment Nadine saw that hideous scar, she swallowed all the words she wanted to say. The scar on Brad's forearm was from saving her.

That day, David came at Nadine with a knife, aiming for her back. If it weren't for Brad, she would've been the one injured instead.
