"Ms. Scott, we've heard rumors that you have a new boyfriend. Is it Mr. Caldwell?"
"Ms. Scott, is the child really Mr. Hamilton's?"
Before Nadine could even lift her head, a barrage of sharp questions were hurled at her. Each one felt like a landmine.
Desperate to get the scoop, the reporters pressed closer to her like a pack of wolves closing in on prey. It was as if they wouldn't stop until they devoured her whole.
Alone and overwhelmed, Nadine stood no chance against the relentless crowd. Microphones were shoved in her face, and someone even accidentally jabbed one into her eye.
"Nadine, you're trending right now. Just say something—anything. If you speak, we'll leave you alone."
"That's right. Just give us a few words. It doesn't matter what you say—as long as it's about Mr. Hamilton. You'll get the exposure, we'll get our story. It's a win-win situation, isn't it?"
Nadine was unaware of the rumors circulating online. She also didn't know the fact that the entire Janctera City believed that Brad was Jack's stand-in. She only knew one thing—she couldn't afford to say the wrong thing.
When these reporters twisted her words, their meaning could become completely distorted.
Clutching her bag to shield her face, Nadine struggled to push her way through the crowd while pleading, "I'm sorry, but you're hurting me. Please take me to the hospital."
Unfortunately, her words only spurred the crowd on, pressing in even closer. Someone grabbed her suitcase, another snatched her handbag, and someone even pulled her hair and tugged at her ears.
The scene descended into utter chaos.
Seeing her in such a state, Sebastian showed no mercy toward the reporters. He instructed his assistant, Quentin Thompson, "Send them legal notices. Sue them for intentional harm. Also, release the footage from today. Let's see if they truly think they're above the law."
With that, Sebastian carried Nadine away.
Meanwhile, Gigi, who had come to the airport to pick Brad up, couldn't find him. She then started looking for Nadine instead. But what she saw was Sebastian carrying Nadine away, leaving only a tall and elegant silhouette behind.
Watching Nadine being taken away by another man, Gigi was furious. She immediately called Brad.
She yelled into the phone, "Brad! What's wrong with you? How could you let another man carry Nadine away? She was swarmed by a mob of reporters at the airport. It was horrible! Then, some tall guy came and saved her, carrying her off.
"Who is that man? Why weren't you there?"
