Ready to Rule: The Real Heiress Strikes Back novel Chapter 371

“Yes.”

“As for the other gangs, they’ll have to buy it themselves.”

“Got it.”

Lydora was a mess lately. The virus had spread through their crew, and panic was everywhere. They’d tried every hospital they could find, but no one had any real answers.

Hunter, the second-in-command, was completely overwhelmed.

His guys just kept getting worse. Some of their lives were literally hanging by a thread. What was he supposed to do?

Kaliya, the third-in-command, shot Hunter a confused look. “I don’t get it. Our guys are dying. Why haven’t you called Lydia and asked her to come back? She saved the old boss. If anyone can fix this, it’s her.”

Hunter sighed, looking tired. “Kaliya, this virus is contagious. Lydia’s already sacrificed so much for us. What have we ever done for her? Now things are this dangerous, and you want to drag her right into it?”

“But she’s a doctor. What if she can cure this?” Kaliya’s voice was sharp with frustration. She just couldn’t understand his stubbornness. And honestly, why did she have to fall for a guy who was so thick-headed? It drove her crazy.

“Everyone’s checked around. Black Eagle’s people are infected too, and even their best healer can’t do anything. If we bring Lydia back, we’re just putting her at risk.”

Kaliya glared at him and jabbed his forehead with her finger. “You’re impossible. So what now? Are we just supposed to stand here and watch our brothers die?”

Before they could argue more, a member burst into the room, out of breath. “Hunter! Kaliya!”

Hunter’s heart dropped. “Another infection?”

“Hunter, why didn’t you tell Lydia how bad things are?” the newcomer demanded.

Potato and Sweet Potato walked in from outside. When Hunter saw them, pure shock and relief washed over him.

“What are you two doing here?”
