The man laughed, "Sorry, I didn’t bump into you, right?"
"No, I’m fine. Are you also Sun Chan’s friend?"
"I’m her boss, my name is Han Dong."
"Hello. I heard you run a clothing factory? That’s impressive." Once she heard he was a boss, Yang Yun’s smile became much more sincere.
Han Dong sneered internally but showed nothing on his face. He nodded and went inside.
Yang Yun hesitated for a moment, maybe she should just appease Sun Chan and perhaps get her to introduce Han Dong. But deep down she knew, with her now tarnished reputation, this boss would never accept her.
Forget it, I’m going to ruin Sun Chan. My family will definitely support me fully, and the benefits will be greater then. She pushed aside those thoughts and walked in with large strides.
Red wedding symbols were plastered on the door of the house, and it was lively everywhere. There were many people inside, already becoming overcrowded. Zhao Jieyun and Guihua were running back and forth, helping to take care of the guests. Yang Zhen, Yang Liu, and Wang Dan were there. They were sitting with Sun Chan in the room next door, chatting.
Zhao Jieyun saw Yang Yun come in, frowned slightly but still walked over with a smile; after all, they were sisters.
"When there are more people later, keep an eye out. Her skirt is too big, don’t let it get damaged."
"Got it." Yang Yun smiled, "I’ll take good care of my sister."
Guihua saw Yang Yun and hurriedly called Han Dong over, who was chatting with a few young ladies, making them laugh so hard they were doubled over with no sense of decorum.
Seeing Guihua calling him, Han Dong quickly came over, "What’s up, big sister, are you jealous because I’m chatting with them?"
The two had gone to Shenzhen together during the New Year; their relationship was already good and had grown even closer now. Guihua slapped him on the back of his neck.
"Pfft, you’d die if you stopped talking nonsense? Deserve a beating. I’m serious, that bitch is here, so be careful." Guihua grabbed Han Dong and whispered, "I can see Yang Yun has no good intentions. Her look is like she’s spat poison, and if she gets a chance to hurt Sun Chan, that’s bad. It’s supposed to be a happy day."
"Don’t worry, I’ve prepared everything. This woman is just digging her own grave." Han Dong thought for a moment, "Big sister, can you do me a favor and make a phone call?"
After hearing this, Guihua chuckled, this guy is cunning. She nodded, "So I’m going, you take care of things here for me." She swiftly left. With so many people inside, no one noticed Guihua leaving.
Yang Yun stood at the door, looking at the bride in fine clothes. Her eyes turned red with jealousy. Such a beautiful girl, wealthy, dignified, educated, and now marrying a soldier with a promising future, while she was still adrift.
In her heart, myriad words condensed into one sentence: I want her dead!
Zhao Jieyun and Yang Dongfeng were talking. The two hadn’t seen each other for a long time, but bits and pieces of Yang Dongfeng’s situation still reached her ears. Knowing he had changed a lot and wasn’t living comfortably, Zhao Jieyun’s aversion towards him had diminished considerably, so she refrained from saying anything distasteful, only talked about taking care of the elderly and tidying up the house for Sun Chan.
Yang Dongfeng was intent on reconciling with his wife, so he focused on pleasing her, with no time to care for his eldest daughter.
Sun Chan smiled, "Knowing how to correct mistakes is good."
"Yeah, she used to dream about Han Dong, but now looks like she’s behaving."
Sun Chan nodded. Correcting mistakes quickly is much better than those always self-righteous, who justify their bad deeds.
Just as everyone was laughing and talking, Sun Chan felt someone’s piercing gaze on her. Lifting her head, she saw Yang Yun’s malicious eyes, and her smile froze.
Others noticed something was off with Sun Chan, raised their heads to look, and all warily surrounded her to block Yang Yun’s view.
Yang Yun laughed, "What are you doing? I’m not doing anything bad. Need to scare you like this? I came with Dad, he’s helping Mom outside. Sis, you’re really beautiful." She said, walking over, intending to reach for Sun Chan’s hand, "I thought we could turn hostility into peace, and we sisters reconcile."
Who knew she was just about to touch Sun Chan when several people blocked her. The scene turned awkward.
Yang Zhen smiled, "Sun Chan, do you want to go to the restroom? Soon the welcoming will start."
Sun Chan nodded, ignoring Yang Yun, and went straight to the restroom.
The bridesmaid naturally guarded her from both sides. Yang Liu followed closely, watching Yang Yun vigilantly.
