Wu Qiong finished showing off and said with a smile, "Alright, I should take Song Tao home now. See you when school starts."
"Okay, see you then," Sun Chan said with a smile as she saw them out.
Just before leaving, Song Tao suddenly stopped, turned back, and smiled at Sun Chan, then handed her a business card. It was purple-red with gold edges and even had a fragrance. It was filled with titles like the President of the Fashion Association, some director, some CEO. It was dizzying to look at.
"This is my business card. Feel free to contact me if you need anything."
Sun Chan smiled, "I don’t think there’s anything I could contact you for."
"Haha, we’re in the same industry. Just let me know if you need my support. See you later." He finished with a smile and walked out.
Through the glass, Wu Qiong glanced at Sun Chan, who was still holding his business card, and was a bit displeased.
"What are you doing? Seeing someone good-looking and you just cozy up to her?"
"No, she asked for one of my business cards, and I couldn’t refuse. Don’t worry, I won’t pay her any mind."
Wu Qiong curled her lips, "Her store isn’t anything special. Yet she’s thinking of enticing you? Haha."
"Exactly, people nowadays only see money. Your family’s store is still the best. Let’s go." He affectionately held Wu Qiong’s hand.
Wu Qiong, being straightforward, soon forgot about these incidents. However, Song Tao looked at Sun Chan’s store with a complex expression.
After seeing them leave, Sun Chan tore up the business card and threw it into a nearby trash bin.
The server was quite surprised, "Is that okay?"
"Why not? I won’t collaborate with people like that. You all remember this, when he comes, just be polite and don’t agree to any of his requests. Otherwise, you’ll deal with the consequences yourselves."
The staff hurriedly agreed.
Sun Chan said, "I’m going to check out the factory and tidy up. Customers should be arriving in the next few days."
"Alright."
Walking on the road, Sun Chan thought, that person is clearly a rogue. What was Wu Dafu thinking? How could he let his daughter associate with someone like that? Although Wu Qiong isn’t very smart and easily fooled, her father is quite perceptive and can spot problems at a glance. There’s no way he’d agree to her being with such a person.
But Sun Chan simply thought about it and didn’t take it seriously. She headed to the factory to find Han Dong.
Han Dong was in the office joking with a new female assistant, who was giggling with curved eyebrows, her face smiling like a flower. Han Dong reached out to hold her hand, but at that moment Sun Chan knocked and came in.
"Are you busy? I’ve got something to tell you." Sun Chan looked up and saw the girl quickly recoil with a flushed face, looking very nervous and shy, as she walked out with her head down.
Han Dong smiled, "Come, have a seat."
Sun Chan said, "You’re really something else, bringing your romantic affairs into the factory, isn’t that a bit excessive?"
"I’m not in a romantic affair," Han Dong laughed, "Don’t be angry, we’re just chatting casually."
"I’ll figure it out," Han Dong said, handing Sun Chan a red bag, bulging inside, "Here’s a New Year gift for you and Gu Junming, bought while I was traveling during the New Year." 𝘧𝓇𝑒𝑒𝑤ℯ𝑏𝓃𝘰𝑣ℯ𝘭.𝘤ℴ𝘮
"Oh, is that so? Thank you!" Sun Chan replied with a smile, taking the bag which contained a lighter for Gu Junming, and various candies and snacks. Sun Chan wasn’t very fond of snacks, but still appreciated them, accepting them with a smile.
Han Dong saw her blushing cheeks and felt a wave of annoyance. His feelings for her seemed impossible to suppress. He thought he might forget about Sun Chan as time passed since he hadn’t seen her for a while, but hearing she was pregnant made him a bit sad.
He recalled having dinner with his parents during the New Year, who lamented about having no grandchildren and felt somewhat guilty. Children... Since his parents wanted them, he decided to fulfill their wish. Han Dong himself wasn’t keen on getting married, but he might have a child. With money, there are plenty of women willing to bear children.
Han Dong glanced at Sun Chan again; she would be a good mother.
Han Dong believed that as long as he tried back then, he might have had a chance to pursue Sun Chan. He only blamed the first impression he gave her was too unserious, scaring her off.
He felt a bit regretful. Han Dong rarely did regrettable things in his life, having this thought even startled himself. Clenching his fists, he felt restless.
"What are you thinking? I was talking to you, or are you thinking about some beautiful woman again?" Sun Chan asked curiously.
Han Dong laughed, "No, I was thinking about what to have for lunch. I’m a bit hungry. What did you want to talk about?"
"Hmm, I talked about Wu Qiong coming to my store with some guy." Sun Chan recounted the event.
Hearing this, Han Dong sneered, "Oh, Song Tao! Don’t bother with him. I dealt with him during my time in the south. He’s a typical con artist. If the Wu Family truly gets involved, it’ll be disastrous. But I’m not that kind-hearted; I won’t warn them. Let it be."
Sun Chan nodded, knowing Han Dong also disliked him, she felt relieved.
