As Huo Jingrui entered the space, he saw the scene in the distance. "Oh, have all those fruits ripened?"
Yun Yiyi wore an expression of malicious glee. "Isn’t this perfect? We’ve just snagged ourselves a strong laborer!"
Huo Jingrui chuckled. "It seems if a strong laborer wasn’t needed, I’m afraid I wouldn’t have had another chance to enter the space."
Yunyi laughed as well. "Mm, not too stupid."
The two bickered as they entered the Stone House. Huo Jingrui opened the several lunch boxes he had brought. "Do you have staple food here?"
Yunyi nodded, turned, and went into the kitchen, emerging with two bowls of rice, one large and one small. "Let’s eat, so we can get to work afterward."
There was no choice, as her space didn’t currently have the function to harvest with her mind. Luckily, the plantable area in the space wasn’t too extensive.
Ever since Huo Jingrui regained his memory, he had started practicing the cultivation techniques from his previous life. With the boost from the Spatial Spiritual Well Water in Yunyi’s space, it was like a cheat code for his body. Although it didn’t achieve the effect of marrow cleansing, it certainly accelerated his martial arts training.
Though his Qinggong was still far inferior to what it was in his past life, helping to pick fruits shouldn’t be a problem.
After the meal, Yunyi began to tend to her medicinal herbs, while Huo Jingrui diligently began harvesting the fruits without complaint. Thankfully, Yunyi had prepared in advance, buying numerous woven baskets during a big market day at the commune for convenient storage during harvest time.
Since she had promised to treat Gui Kailan’s illness, she naturally had to start preparations.
One person was preparing medicine there, the other was flying up and down picking fruits over yonder; occasionally, their eyes met across the distance. The entire space seemed to float with rainbow bubbles, a truly sickeningly sweet sight.
Yunyi had nearly finished preparing the medicinal herbs when she got up to help Jingrui.
With a man and woman working together, the labor wasn’t tiring. Soon, all the ripe fruits were picked, and Jingrui helped move them all into the storeroom.
Huo Jingrui watched the spot where Yunyi had vanished, taking a long moment to react. He had been used and then tossed aside by that little woman!
But what could he do, even knowing that? He could only shake his head helplessly, take a basin from a shelf in the room, and go to the kitchen to fetch water.
Meanwhile, Yunyi, who had re-entered the space, patted her cheeks. Huo Jingrui’s cloying gaze just now had been too unsettling. She had been afraid that if she left him inside to tidy up, they might not be able to control themselves. If sparks flew and things got out of hand, it would be far from ideal. That’s why she had decisively sent him outside.

Of course, she also wanted to gauge their attitude.
