He had seen the ginseng in Yunyi’s space before. One was over a hundred years old, and the other two were likely fifty to sixty years old as well. It was best not to take them out casually. The remaining small ginseng weren’t mature enough yet; it would be too much of a pity to uproot them now. Besides, he knew his father all too well. His father was too open-handed; if the ginseng ended up with him, it was feared they would change owners before long.
Since Huo Jingrui had said as much, she didn’t insist further.
On the way, Huo Jingrui once again briefed Yunyi on the Huo family members, especially the temperament of Third Sister-in-law Duan Zhuangyu. "Just keep it in mind," he said. "She might not come today. After all, I told them no special notification was needed."
This visit was primarily a courtesy call to her future mother-in-law. She had told Huo Jingrui long ago not to make a big fuss or waste everyone’s time. This suited her perfectly, as she wouldn’t have to deal with too many people, which was great.

Though she asked him, her eyes weren’t on her son in the driver’s seat but were fixed directly on Yunyi sitting opposite. "You must be Yunyi, right? Welcome."
As she spoke, she quickly moved to the passenger side of the car.
Yunyi quickly opened the car door and got out. "Hello, Auntie. I’m Chuyunyi."
Jiang Jingya took Yunyi’s hand. "Oh my, what a beautiful girl! That boy Jingrui is really lucky to have you."
At this, the others inside who had heard the commotion also came out to greet them.
Huo Jiayuan teased, "Mom, she’s here, and you didn’t even call for us! Are you afraid we’d snatch her away from you?" 𝑓𝓇𝘦ℯ𝘸𝘦𝑏𝓃𝑜𝘷ℯ𝑙.𝑐𝑜𝓂
With that, she trotted forward. "Fourth Sister-in-law, hello! I’m Huo Jiayuan, your sister-in-law."
Yunyi hadn’t expected Huo Jiayuan to be so direct. Even though she had lived through several lifetimes, her face still flushed red with shyness. "We haven’t..."
