Chapter 491 The Unbroken Bond
Third–Person POV
“I am willing to love you with all my life. As long as I live, I am yours! This, no one can change.”
“I love you, Aubrey.”
Alpha Henry’s purple eyes shone with a moving light as he made his solemn vow.
Aubrey smiled, tears welling in her eyes. She had never thought she would truly win Henry’s
heart.
“I love you too, until death.”
Hearing this, Alpha Henry lowered his head and captured Aubrey’s lips. In that moment, everything around them seemed to pause. In the breathless silence, he kissed her with lingering passion, as if no one else existed. Aubrey wrapped her arms around his neck, dancing with him. She felt as if she were submerged in warm water, but her heart was seized by happiness, needing to beat faster just to survive.
The wedding ended, and the guests departed.
Alpha Henry’s heart was finally at ease. He had, at last, declared his sovereignty in front of all werewolves—Aubrey was his mate, his Luna!
But when night fell, Alpha Henry and Aubrey lay in bed together, doing nothing. They were quietly waiting for midnight to arrive.
Midnight was when the potion was supposed to take effect.
At that time, their sibling bond would automatically break.
They looked at each other, both excited. After deciding to become mates, breaking the sibling bond had become the most important thing.
Finally, the clock struck midnight.
Alpha Henry and Aubrey immediately tried to sense the sibling bond. Their expressions changed slightly–the sibling bond was still there!
“Let’s wait a bit longer,” Aubrey said. “No one said the potion would be this punctual.”
“Right,” Alpha Henry nodded.
But as time ticked by, the sibling bond remained unbroken.

Aubrey and Alpha Henry’s expressions grew grim. Their wanton intimacy these past few days was based entirely on the assumption that the sibling bond would soon be gone. But if it wasn’t… the power of their wolves would gradually drain.
By dawn, the sibling bond was still there, unbroken.
Alpha Henry’s expression was awful. “Was it a fake potion?”
Aubrey shook her head. “No, I confirmed it was real. Perhaps… it’s delayed for some reason?” She was unwilling to consider that the potion might not work, as that would mean a huge crisis.
Alpha Henry squeezed his hand. “We’ll wait. The day isn’t over yet.”
“Mn.”
Their hands clasped together, the ecstasy of the daytime wedding slowly fading, replaced by anxiety about the future. If the bond couldn’t be broken, the two of them would have to make a trip to the Moon Goddess’s place of origin—and there was no guarantee they would return alive.
After lunch, the bond was still there.
Aubrey couldn’t sit still. She remembered the potion was from the Omega that Perry had brought back, so she decided to go and ask.
But when she arrived at Perry’s house, she found Alpha Henry was already there.
The two looked at each other, slightly awkward. Then, Aubrey’s gaze shifted to Aubrey.
She had clearly heard the story from Alpha Henry. Seeing Aubrey look over, she said, “This potion was given to me by my deceased mother. She told me to sell it if I ever needed money. But Perry saved my life, and I felt I needed to repay his kindness, so I gave it to him.”
