Reborn: The Tyrant's Obsession novel Chapter 121

Chapter 121: He looks like a glazed donut

A hint of something dark, and inconceivable flickered in Adrian’s eyes and—

Adrian’s long fingers curled around the arm of the chair with a strength that would have shattered a glass.

After Ella was done with the skincare, Ella stood behind the chair, looking at their reflection in the mirror. Adrian’s flawless skin seemed to be made of glass as it sparkled under the light.

She flipped her hair. Leaning forward, Ella hovered over Adrian, admiring her handiwork even more, "Baby, you look like a glazed donut!"

Adrian glanced at the mirror.

"Do you like what you see...?"

Adrian tilted his head, his eyes locking onto hers, "Mm."

Ella choked on her saliva, taken aback by the intense gaze.

Instinctively, she moved to straighten up when slender fingers grabbed the back of her neck.

In one move, Ella bent even further while Adrian’s chil tilted upwards.

With one hand, Adrian yanked off the bunny headband off his forehead, letting his hair loose. And in the next moment, he captured her lips.

Their lips met and a chill seeped into Ella’s mouth upon his cool touch. Her hand that rested on the arm of the chair gripped it tightly.

Adrian’s kiss was slow yet firm, gentle yet domineering. Their lips parted for a moment and Ella opened her mouth to speak but a long tongue slid thrust inside her mouth, jolting a heat inside her body.

Ella’s hair draped around them as he kissed her, slowly, passionately yet with an intensity that seemed to declare that she was his.

As their lips parted, a sheen covered Adrian’s lips. His eyes met hers and his tongue peeked out, licking every corner of his lips.

Ella’s heart skipped a beat and an unconscious heat rose up her cheeks. She averted her gaze.

Adrian and her had done things that were beyond a simple kiss.

Yet for some reason, this... seemed more intimate than their first night ever was. There seemed to be a strange tension in the air and a weird heat in her body that was awakened everytime under his touch.

Sensing some movements beside her, Ella looked to the side and noticed that the devil had gotten up from the chair.

Surmising that he should be on his way back to the Master Bedroom, Ella opened her mouth to wish him good night.

But at this moment—

Something unexpected happened.

Adrian did not step out of Ella’s room.

But rather, he strode over to Ella’s bed and laid down.

Ella’s jaw dropped.

The huge king-sized bed suddenly appeared small and the sight of Adrian laying there made a specific imagery sprout in Ella’s head.

The sight was akin to the sight of an ancient emperor who had returned from the battlefield and was now waiting for his concubine to serve him!

Except, this emperor was not passive.

He raised his hand, hooked her finger towards her, "Come."

"_" Excuse me?

Adrian tilted his head.

With a flattering smile, Ella walked up to him and climbed on the bed, "Do you want to sleep here tonight?"

She wanted to end her life but she was too cowardly. Heights scared her. Vehicles scared her. Knife scared her. Everything scared her.

Helpless and hopeless, she realized that she desperately wanted to live.

That night, Ella walked along some empty streets. She was drunk, lost and mentally drained.

And she still remembered how a sleek black sedan pulled in front of her abruptly.

In her hazy vision, all she remembered was a black suit and shoes that were shiny enough to reflect her face.

And back then, she had heard a voice that said—

’Marry me. Stay by my side from now on.’

Ella did not remember anything which happened after that.

She did not even remember how she responded to those words or if she even did.

But when she opened her eyes, she was in a place that seemed to be a royal palace. And that was not the end of it...

She had a splitting headache, a terrible hangover and two marriage certificates lying on the pillow beside her.

Ella glanced at the man who had laid his head on her lap and voiced out the question that had nagged her for two lifetimes.

"Why me, Adrian?" she whispered.
