Ella calmly walked up to her seat, only to discover that her seatmate was staring at her with a new level of hatred.
His hatred yesterday had been glaring already but today, it was as glaring as the sun.
She only paused for a moment before taking a seat next to him.
On being given a cold shoulder like that, Kade’s lips curled down, ’’You... Hey you...’’
Ella avoided him for a couple of minutes before she gave him a look, ’’What is it?"
"Is your name really Ella?"
Ella mentally rolled her eyes. And unable to hold herself back, she did it visually too.
Kade glared at her, ’’It seems it really has something to do with the name, huh?" he mumbled, more to himself than others.
Ella was a bit intrigued, ’’Why? Do you know some other Ella?"
The man gave her a fleeting side-eye and refused to explain further. His freezed cards lying at home spoke enough of his tale.
"What a jinx.’’
Ella was enlightened. Seems like this guy suffered some loss because of her.
But logically, it shouldn’t have happened because he has not met her before.
If he did, he would have known that both the Ellas he was calling jinx were actually one person.
Ella’s attention did not linger on Kade for long.
Rather, she looked at the young and beautiful professor Jenny who had already started teaching like nothing happened.
The woman taught History but left their ’history’ undiscovered for a long time.
Ella tapped the pen on the textbook.
This woman could be easily considered one of the reasons for her downfall as a top model.
While her little sister’s contributions have been never-ending, she lacked real power to destroy her career back then.
However, this lady didn’t. It all happened with one encounter in a random meeting where this woman’s said rich ’father’ also came.
And accidentally, Ella discovered that that man was not Professor Jenny’s biological father, but rather, he was her sponsor, her sugar daddy.
The entertainment industry is fucked and while this came as surprise, it was forgotten by Ella within a night of her discovery.
Her one-track mind was focused on being an international supermodel and becoming worthy of marrying Max. How could she let random things distract her?
Who could have known that this woman would go to any extent to set her up?
In her previous life, she never figured things out at all. It just did not make sense to her even though she had initially doubted it.
After all, how would Jenny manage to get her whereabouts, small and big details about her and use them against her to set her up so smoothly?
Then, Adrian came into her life and whooshed her away to the Eve Mansion and she became more depressed. She simply turned off her brains.
Only when she died at Esther’s hand did everything make sense.
Jenny did not know her private details but her little sister did.
’’What has it got to do with you? I am merely expressing my love through my eyes!"
Ruby turned her head away.
’’Eyes, my ass,’’ Kade cackled in a softer voice, ’’You freaked her out.’’
Kade had prepared himself for irritation when he resumed university but he hadn’t prepared for... whatever the hell this was.
What kind of freak show have I signed up for?
Ella shot him a deathly glare. Just you wait and watch how I use my seniority to crush your dusty cocky face!
After the classes, Ella looked for Ruby but the girl was nowhere to be seen.
Eventually, she grabbed her bag, ready to head out but then her path was blocked.
"Sister, your classes are finally over! It has been so long since we have had ice cream together. Let’s go now~" Esther naturally appeared in front of Ella and held her hand, swaying back and forth.
Ella laughed coldly in her heart.
That ’I am scheming against you. What can you do to me?’ subtitle on Esther’s face was so blinding that it made Ella wonder how blind she had been in her previous life that she was unable to see that.
’’If there is nothing urgent, we can do this some other day. I need to go back to my room and study.’’
How could Esther let her go just like that?
’’Sis, you have changed so much,’’ Esther pouted as she walked forward while holding her hand.
’’I have just learned to be more diligent in the things I do. Yes, a couple of bad things happened in the past and I cried and whined for a while. But if I cry over them for a lifetime, what kind of a life would I be living? So I have decided to work on myself and move on from these trifles. Why? You don’t like that? Or do you want me to be useless forever?"
