Lin Zhiyi and Chu Yin exchanged a glance, then stood up and followed the old woman ahead.
Soon, they arrived at a large room.
The door was pushed open.
Inside, a woman was trying on a dress, a black satin dress that accentuated her tall, slender figure.
The woman then slowly turned around.
This time, Sarah wasn’t wearing a black veil.
Lin Zhiyi and Chu Yin stared at that face, too shocked to speak.
Chu Yin murmured, "Is this right?"
Lin Zhiyi pressed her lips together, scanning the woman up and down.
Finally, she looked at the red mole on the woman’s neck and those eyes that, even with makeup, remained somewhat asymmetrical.
Is this right?
Was Bai Family’s old master’s illegitimate child her?
Chu Yin was more direct than Lin Zhiyi, looking straight at the middle of Sarah.
Lin Zhiyi quickly interrupted her gaze, and the two stood awkwardly staring at Sarah.
Sarah glanced at them. "Nothing you want to ask?"
Lin Zhiyi and Chu Yin pretended not to know anything, shaking their heads vigorously.
Not daring to ask.
Sarah signaled for the person behind her to help her with her jewelry.
Lin Zhiyi reassembled the originally soft and classical jewelry, with the pendant in front resembling mechanical wings enveloping soft, lustrous pearls.
Just like Sarah, who seemed to desire something, yet her exterior shut everything out.
Sarah touched the necklace that looked like wings.
"I really like the jewelry you redesigned for me. I have an important dinner today, and I hope your jewelry will bring me luck."
Sarah shifted her gaze, staring at Lin Zhiyi, as if hinting at something.
This dinner was likely not simple.
But why did Sarah tell her that?
Lin Zhiyi couldn’t figure it out, but she dared not show it, just nodded and said, "Good luck to you."
Sarah said, "If I win this dinner today, I can grant you one wish."
With that, Sarah lifted her dress and left.
Lin Zhiyi and Chu Yin were muddleheadedly sent back to their room.
On the way, they saw the women who came together yesterday.
Though not sure what happened, they looked much better than yesterday.
Back in the room, Chu Yin paced back and forth.
She couldn’t understand the situation now.
"Is Sarah actually... him... her... no wonder she’s called Sarah. No wonder Third Young Master and Mr. Sang were caught off guard."
"She should be," Lin Zhiyi rubbed her temples, "But she just said the dinner was very important, and Haley is also going, could it be... a Hongmen banquet?"
As soon as she said it, the phone started heating up again.
Lin Zhiyi hurriedly took it out.
Catherine sent a photo.
"You mentioned finding someone, I found a clue, they are Haley’s guests."
In the photo, Gong Chen and Sang Li sat at a table with Haley, whose laughter was unexplainable.
The chips on the table had nearly piled into a little mountain.
Chu Yin was puzzled, "What does Catherine mean? It seems like Third Young Master and Mr. Sang are gambling with Haley."
Lin Zhiyi said, "Catherine is exploiting our eagerness to find Third Young Master and Mr. Sang, hoping we quickly reveal Sarah’s movements."
Just as expected.
The next second, Catherine messaged.
"What Sarah prepared for today’s dinner, like what she’s wearing, or what jewelry she has."
Lin Zhiyi pondered.
Why were Haley and Catherine so concerned about what Sarah wore or carried?
She suddenly thought of Sarah Rein’s necklace, maybe it had some special significance.
Lin Zhiyi hesitated for a moment, then quickly replied to the message.
"Nothing."
"Is there anything special inside the club?"
"No."
"We’ve decided to capture Sarah and Haley today, be careful."
"Careful of what?"
Lin Zhiyi felt her words seemed off.
"Careful not to get hurt, there are dangers everywhere, you two should stay inside the club."
"Okay."
