**Chapter 94**

“It always is,” Emily replied, her eyes softening with a hint of understanding. She wiped her hands on a dishtowel, her movements deliberate as she prepared to step away. “Look, I can’t pretend to comprehend what transpired between you two. But I want you to know that for the past five years, you’ve shown kindness to us. You’ve been good to my mother. So, I won’t hold this against you more than I absolutely have to.”

“Thanks, Emily. That truly means a lot to me,” I responded, my voice barely above a whisper, feeling the weight of her words settle in my chest.

She shrugged nonchalantly, making her way toward the door. “I can’t speak for everyone else, though. You might want to think about doing something to smooth things over with them. A little charm can go a long way.”

With that, she slipped out, leaving me standing there, alone with my thoughts. I bit my lip, feeling the tension coil tightly in my stomach. She was right, of course; I couldn’t just drop a truth bomb like that without preparing the ground first. If only I hadn’t been under the influence when I made my choices, I might have crafted a more heartfelt moment—perhaps organized a picnic or hosted a dinner party, anything to cushion the impact of my revelation…

But then again, would I have even had the courage to do it without the drugs? Probably not. And as for my night with Andrei, I couldn’t quite pin down whether the substances had played a role in that. Maybe I was just a colossal mess, navigating through a fog of confusion and regret.

At that moment, clarity struck me like a lightning bolt. I pushed through the door and strode purposefully toward the bar. “A round for everyone,” I declared to the bartender, slapping a stack of cash onto the counter. “It’s on me.”

The bartender raised an eyebrow, clearly surprised, but nodded and began reaching for the bottles. I turned to face the room, which had quieted at my arrival, all eyes drawn to me.

Before I could second-guess myself, I climbed onto a nearby empty table, my heart racing as I surveyed the crowd before me.

“I owe you all an explanation,” I called out, my voice steady despite the fluttering in my chest. “And an apology.”

Every gaze in the room was fixed on me now, including Andrei’s. He quickly averted his eyes when I met his gaze, but I felt the weight of his presence nonetheless.

“My name is Natalia. Five years ago, I was the Luna of the Moonshadow Pack,” I gestured toward Andrei, my heart pounding. “And the wife of Alpha Andrei.”

A murmur of surprise rippled through the crowd, the tension palpable. I inhaled deeply, gathering my courage.
