When Grace was brought into the car, she felt a flicker of anger, but it wasn't strong enough to take hold. She tried to connect the dots on why Liam's behavior had changed drastically so suddenly. But even after going over everything that had happened, she couldn't think of anything that might have triggered it.

The car had started driving toward a remote place, so she put her mind back on trying to stay alive.

On the other hand, Liam got a call from Joanne just as he got into his car. His voice was cold. "Joanne, do you really have a way to help get Grace's memories back?"

The corners of Joanne's lips curled up as she looked at her sparkling manicure. Everything had gone according to plan. She had vowed that Andrea's death would create a rift between Grace and Liam—and now, she had done exactly that.

"Liam, I could only do what I can," she replied.

In Liam's mind, Joanne had been Grace's only real friend before she lost her memories, so he thought Joanne would know more.

"Back when Grace still had her memories, did she mention anything to you? Like anything about her past or who she really is?" Liam asked tentatively.

Joanne was still admiring her manicure but immediately widened her eyes in shock when she heard Liam's words.

She had questioned Grace's actual background to trick Andrea before just to stir up Andrea's anger.

But now that Liam had brought it up in such a serious tone, she realized Grace might not be a member of the Lambert family, after all. She wondered where Grace really came from.

Her eyes were filled with excitement.

Even the daughters of the Lambert family were not worthy of Ethan, let alone some nobody with no background. Grace would never be able to marry into the Henderson family.

Joanne was ecstatic as she let out a smile.
