“Holy shit...”
Su-ho couldn’t help but curse aloud after reading the item’s information.
What had once been just an unidentified dragon fossil had, after a single quest, turned into an absurdly overpowered item.
His shock was only natural.
After all, the item description included a phrase that anyone would recognize as signifying elemental divinity:
# You may inherit the power of the sun, a part of primal nature, and the power of the Solar Dragon.
“The power of the sun... a part of primal nature.”
This wasn’t just some typical elemental ability like fire or water. The power now resting in his hand was quite literally the power of the sun.
“Forget the Solar Dragon for a second... the sun’s power actually exists?”
The sun.
He had never even heard of such a power in all his life.
He’d seen countless Healer-class Players channel divine power from various gods, including the top-tier Isabella—but even she had never wielded anything called “the power of the sun.”
“Fire Monarchs, Flame Demons, Flame Kings... All the fire-type heavyweights only ever used fire. Not solar energy.”
That made this hard to grasp.
What even was the power of the sun?
But did that really matter?
Su-ho recalled the information about the [Flame Soul] he had obtained before.
[Flame Soul]
A blessing of primal nature that bestows the power of fire.
Bound to the first inheritor.
Among the primal nature series, the ✪ Nоvеlіgһt ✪ (Official version) Soul ranked highest, followed by Heart, then Flesh.
But the Fragment of the Solar Dragon didn’t fall under any of those categories.
Even the [Flame Soul], widely considered top-tier, was referred to as a blessing of primal nature—not a literal part of it, like the Solar Dragon’s fragment.
So to Su-ho, there really was no other choice.
Anything else would’ve been outright foolish.
“Looks like my elemental path in this life is going to be sun-based.”
He reached for the fragment to activate it—then stopped.
“Wait a second.”
He suddenly recalled the quest involving the Reincarnated Dragon:
[Return of the Wraith]
The fourth unlocked Authority of Dragon Blood.
The bearer of Dragon Blood possesses the lineage but is not a true dragon.
To become a true dragon, one must have not only dragon’s blood, flesh, bones, spirit, and senses—but also a portion of a true dragon’s fundamental power.
When a fragment of true dragon power is acquired, the true Authority of the Dragon Egg is fully unlocked.
After reading the info, Su-ho was momentarily speechless.
He had nearly died to unlock the fourth Authority, only to find it buried in layer upon layer of additional conditions.
Still, it wasn’t completely arbitrary.
The second requirement for unlocking the fourth Authority had been “Defeat a Flying Dragon.”
And all true dragons Su-ho had ever heard of were capable of flight.
“So the quest condition was designed with interlinked relevance.”
In other words, if he’d found another dragon-related quest in a different location—not Ieodo—he might’ve had other options.
But now it was too late to go searching for other dragons.
“I mean, I could, but...”
It would be incredibly inefficient.
Now, having reviewed the Dragon Egg info, Su-ho could finally accept everything.
“So it was always meant to end with me becoming the Solar Dragon’s successor.”
