“You were giving him medicine? What medicine? Who told you to?” Anastasia demanded, her voice dangerously low.

“The medicine you prescribed, of course!”

“Is that so?” Anastasia looked down at her. “The medicine I prescribed, which I specifically said to call me for when it was ready? Who gave you permission to act on your own?”

Juliet caught on immediately. “You didn’t call Anastasia, and you didn’t tell anyone else in the family. You just snuck in here to give my brother something. What were you planning? Was that really the medicine Anastasia prescribed?!”
