"Hello, Mr. Zade!"
"This is my wife, Anastasia," Harrison added, speaking to Mr. Zade with an undisguised tenderness and affection in his voice.
Mr. Zade had heard rumors of Harrison's marriage, but this was the first time he had met her in person. Having dealt with Harrison on several occasions, he had a good sense of the man. Seeing his attitude now, he knew that this Ana was truly cherished, not just a pretty face Harrison was infatuated with, as some had speculated.
Therefore, Mr. Zade was careful not to slight the young woman and responded with a warm, friendly smile.
Harrison's demeanor aside, he was quite taken with Anastasia's grace and the clear, honest look in her eyes.
Perhaps it was age, but he found himself fond of such pure-hearted, sincere young people.
Anastasia chatted gracefully with Mr. Zade for a few moments before she remembered what she was there for. Glancing at the time, she said quickly, "Hubby, I have something I need to do now, so I'll be going!"
She was about to run off when Harrison grabbed her hand, holding her firmly in place.
"What is it?" he asked gently.
Anastasia didn't hide it from him. "Professor Bruno asked me to see a patient here, just upstairs. If you're still here when I come down, we can go home together!"
Harrison nodded and finally let go. "Go on."
Anastasia dashed into the elevator.
Harrison watched her go.
Mr. Zade smiled. "You and your wife seem to have a wonderful relationship, Mr. Harrison Lancaster."
