Chapter 325
She thought, ‘Let the pros handle it. I can’t wait to see what kind of bizarre tricks Lydia would pull to get herself out of trouble if the cops took her away!
Lydia stiffened, panic flashing in her eyes.
Her scheme against Emily today was improvised. She’d pulled this kind of stunt before and always got away with it, so she never expected Emily to turn the tables. There was no way she could stand up to a real investigation.
Lydia lowered her gaze, her hands unconsciously tightening as she racked her brain for a way out.
What Lydia didn’t realize was that, at that very moment, Amy had caught every single ‘change in her expression.
Amy had heard from her niece earlier that Lydia was Tato. At that moment, she felt a sharp pang of disappointment that Tato could be someone so morally rotten.

Amy genuinely loved Tato’s talent and that unique aura she had.
Over the years, Amy had traveled all over, meeting plenty of prodigies-some even more gifted than Tato.
But the way Tato managed to blend struggle, complexity, and those extreme opposites in her art-Amy had never seen anyone pull it off so well before.
She’d seen in Tato’s paintings that, even in the deepest darkness, her soul still clung to a sliver of light and purity. But she never imagined that meeting the real Tato in person would be such a shock.
Because she genuinely regretted the thought of losing such a rare talent, Amy didn’t immediately agree to Emily’s request.
Emily picked up on Amy’s hesitation right away. She had no clue how Lydia had managed to get into Amy’s good graces, but Amy was her idol.
Besides, this was Amy’s party, her turf, so Emily was determined to respect whatever decision Amy made. Emily thought, ‘I have got Lydia’s hair anyway. There is no reason to stick around and put Amy in a tough spot.
