Chapter 235 Consider Yourself Lucky

That day, both of them ended up covered in paint, and the whole studio was a complete mess.

The red, green, white, and clear paints were all mixed together, and you couldn’t even tell what was what anymore.

Claudia was so mad, she sat right on his back. She told him she didn’t want him as her model anymoreshe wanted him to be her canvas.

She grabbed a brush and started painting right on his back, tracing her designs across his smooth, muscular shoulders.

Sterling obediently lay there, but while she was painting, his little Sterlingstarted to stir with no shame at all

By the end of that day, both of them had a matching tattoo on their waistssame design, but totally different styles.

The next day, Claudia learned her lesson and announced she wasn’t painting anymore. She wanted to dance instead.

With the sea of clouds outside the floortoceiling windows as her backdrop, sunlight poured in as she began to dance.

Her health wasn’t great, so she couldn’t pull off any big moves.

Annoyed by the limitations of her body, Claudia shot Sterling a glare.

He had been leaning against the doorframe, watching her dance with a burning gaze. After she stopped to rest, he stepped closer, his voice low and rough.

Baby, dance for me again, will you?

Claudia, sitting on the floor, looked up at him in confusion.

She figured his taste had to be off.

She’d only managed a couple of moves that could barely be called dancing, yet he was looking at her like she was the most amazing dancer ever.

This really must be the lover’s filter at work.

While she was feeling a little proud, Sterling just grinned and scooped her up.

Let’s find somewhere else to dance.

Ten minutes later.

Ugh, Sterling, you’re such a jerk.”

Yeah, I don’t want to be a good guy. I just want to be a beast.

Anneliese was left at a loss for words.

They enjoyed themselves thoroughly in the mountains, completely unaware of what was happening outside.

Rewind to the night of the class reunionClint had waited for Sterling most of the night along with his guys, simply because his boss said he wanted to deal with his romantic rival himself. In the end, he didn’t even show up.

Clint was left speechless.

Alright, he was already used to this.

He managed a resigned smileafter all, he was Sterling’s personal assistant.

Whenever he called Sterling, the line was either cut. If someone answered, there was nothing but silence.

Clint took a deep breath and figured he’d just have to handle things himself.

Jasper, who had been thoroughly taught a lesson, was dragged back out, his face drained of all color.

He managed a smug smile. Mr. Fenton, guess you got lucky. You only lost a hand. Send him home.

I can’t just finish him off right away.

Mr. Romero and Mrs. Romero still have more in store for him.

What goes around comes around. Everyone has to face the consequences of their choices.

Jasper stared at his limp right hand, unable to believe Clint actually called this lucky.

The

few days had been pure hell for him.

He had now experienced Sterling’s ruthless side firsthand.

Clint patted him on the face. Feeling bitter, Mr. Fenton? Don’t push your luck. Losing one hand is just a warning for messing with Mrs. Romero over and over. Next time you show up in

At the mention of Claudia’s name, Jasper’s eyes flickered.

But compared to any lingering romantic feelings, what he felt most was fear.

He’d always been a golden boy who got whatever he wanted. Even after breaking up with Claudia, he’d believed she would come back to him someday.

But ever since that failed proposal, everything had spiraled out of control.

He refused to accept it and wanted her back, but he only dug himself into a worse mess.

In front of Sterling, he was nothing more than a little ant trying to take on an elephant. Sterling probably never even considered him a threat.

Once, Jasper had held himself above it all, coolly watching others fight for scraps. Now, faced with someone far more powerful, he had become the kind of ant he used to look down on.

When Jasper was dumped in front of the Fenton Residence, he was still reeling from the shock of everything that had happened.
