Chapter 136 Call Me Harley From Now
“What?” Lucy shot upright beside her, staring in disbelief. “How much did you transfer him?”
“Jackson said that car cost around one and a half million. I still had five hundred thirty thousand left in my account, so I transferred him five hundred thousand. As for the remaining million. I’ll pay it back once I have the money…”
“Are you out of your mind? He gave you that car outright. Why would you transfer him so much money?”
Lucy’s brows drew tight as she looked at Natalic, completely baffled.
Natalic’s faint smile carried an air of calm. “When you take from someone, you owe them. And he and I don’t really have any kind of relationship. Driving around in something so expensive never sat right with me. Transferring the money… it actually feels better this way.”
Even if she couldn’t pay it all back, at least it was better than nothing.
“Do you even know who Marcus is? He’s one of Brookvale’s top business moguls–worth tens of billions. You think he needs you to cover the cost of one car?”
Natalie waved her off lightly. “That’s not the point.”
Lucy clutched her arm, anxious. “Don’t tell me he actually accepted it?”
“That’s exactly what I was worried about. Which is why I used Anderson Corp’s corporate account.”
Natalie leaned back in her chair, her expression softer than usual.
Lucy smacked her own forehead, then raised both thumbs in exaggerated admiration. “That’s why you’re my girl. I’m in awe–totally floored.”
Natalie chuckled at her theatrics. “Anyway, debts have to be repaid sooner or later. And I’m planning to start taking jade work again. After three to five jobs, I’ll have the money back.”
Lucy’s eyes lit up. “You’re planning to take orders again?”
“Yes.” Natalie nodded firmly. “From now on, I’ll be working under the name ‘Harley. And since short video platforms are blowing up these days, I’ll also record restoration videos, build a channel, and start paving the way for my future,”
“That’s brilliant!” Lucy flashed another double thumbs–up. “With your jade carving skills and restoration talent, you could go viral overnight.”
Natalie rose from the sofa. “You’re exaggerating.”
Seeing her head upstairs, Lucy followed quickly. “I’m not kidding! If you blow up. it’ll be insane…
Natalic listened to her chatter without slowing her steps.
The reason she chose to take orders under the name “Harley” was simple–she needed money. The clinic was a long–term project; it wasn’t going to generate real income anytime soon. But jade carving and restoration could.
Now that Lily was in her life, she had more responsibility; she had to plan ahead.
“Yesterday Ms. Foster asked me for the group’s corporate account. I just checked with Finance -she transferred half a million into it.”
Ten minutes later, Natalie’s phone buzzed with a text notification.
After seeing off her patient, she glanced down. A deposit alert flashed across the screen.
Her brows drew together as she unlocked it.
It was Anderson Corp, returning three hundred thousand.
That could only mean one thing–it was his doing.
Without his permission, there was no way that money would have been sent back.
*30 Free Coins
So he had taken her words to heart. She’d said two hundred thousand, and he’d made sure that was all he accepted.
Natalie hesitated for a moment before rising from the consultation desk. “Atlas, I need to step out for a bit. Keep an eye on the clinic.”
Atlas nodded quickly. “Got it.”
Natalie grabbed her car keys and drove straight to Anderson Corp.
