He chuckled, “I believe it is a fair mix of both. Raniero loves his mother deeply, as a son should. For many years it was only the two of them leaning on each other and she was, she is, a good mother to her son. She has only ever wanted what was best for him. It is the methods she used to get what is best for him. We are confident Corrado still slept with her from time to time. He has always been a posbessive bastard, claiming ownership of the women he bedded. It seems his possessiveness, in her eyes, meant he cared. He never cared. He simply liked controlling and manipulating people.”
