Chapter 689
Camilla thought she had misheard, so she turned to Bradley, her voice full of disbelief. “Brad, what did you just say? You’re gonna be a live–in son–in–law
You’re getting married?”
She wondered if that Instagram post the other day meant Cameron’d already accepted his proposal.
“That was really fast,” Damian said, giving Brad a thumbs–up. “You’ve really got guts, Brad.”
Osborne chimed in, “Did her family ask you to become a live–in son–in–law?”
Reginald added, “Brad, you really kept this under wraps. Only when you’re getting married are you willing to tell us, huh?”
Eric asked, “Brad, have you made up your mind?”
Eddie answered for Bradley, “He knows exactly what he’s doing.”
Simon chimed in, “Brad, how come you came back alone? Where’s your bride–to–be?”
Evan said, “Simon, what’s the rush? Brad’ll bring her home to meet us sooner or later.”
A dead silence hung in the air for a dozen seconds before everyone started bombarding Bradley with questions.
Nathan, Beth, and Edith just exchanged glances in silence, saying nothing.
Bradley looked at them with a deep, intense gaze. “It’s been seven years. Because of your wrong decision, I forgot about her for seven years. Are you planning to stand in my way again?”
“Seven years?” Camilla murmured to herself.
Seven years ago, Camilla hadn’t returned to the Saunders family yet, so of course she knew nothing about it.
Camilla wasn’t the only one in the Saunders family unaware of the truth, so everyone was curious about what had really happened back then.
Nathan finally spoke up. “Brad, let’s talk in my study.”
Bradley shook his head. “Dad, that’s not necessary. I came back today just to let you all know that I’m planning to settle
down in Viremont.”
He was here to inform them, not to ask for their approval.
With that, Bradley was about to stand up.
Beth also rose to her feet in a hurry. “Brad…”
She grabbed his arm, tears in her eyes. “Alright, if you wanna stay in Viremont, just do it. It was all my fault seven years ago. I’m glad there’s still a chance to make things right. Brad, as long as you’re happy, that’s all that matters.”
Edith let out a long sigh, her heart heavy with regret.

Chapter 689
Being a live–in son–in–law wasn’t exactly something to brag about, but they’d indeed made a dreadful mistake seven years ago. So they couldn’t tear these two apart again.
With Beth already having taken a stand, Nathan, who always doted on her, naturally had nothing more to say.
Bradley’s lips curled into a faint smile as he knew their attitude.
There was nothing he couldn’t do once he set his mind to it.
It was best if his family didn’t try to stop him, but even if they did, it wouldn’t make a difference.
“Brad, any idea when you’ll bring Cameron over to visit us?” Beth asked with a smile.
Bradley shook his head. “Mom, there’s no rush. I’ll bring her home when the time comes.”
Given how reserved Cameron was about relationships, and the fact that they’d just made things official, he figured she probably wouldn’t agree to come here with him just yet.
Reginald said, “Brad, I’m dying to know what kind of woman could actually catch your eye.”
