Chapter 773: Chapter 771: FORMAL DINNER

Time flew by very fast and before she knew it, it was already time for her to attend the dinner.

It’s been an exciting day for Diamond. After she left the hotel, she toured the nearby places and ate some local food, but didn’t dare buy anything.

She had bought quite a lot of things which she hadn’t used or touched until now. She feared her hands would do something crazy and be forced to discard the things in the future.

After the short tour, she returned to the hotel, where she checked the ongoing fan event on her social media platforms.

It was day two, and the fans were in the middle of picking local places of the lucky countries which won on day one. By tomorrow, everything would be allocated and it would be fun.

Andrea was busy monitoring the events, and there were a lot of resumes being sent, but Diamond hadn’t checked any of them just yet. She was too busy and would do so later.

For now, she was focused on the dinner and looking forward to meeting Regina Williams. Regina would become the fourth Oasis Club member she had met this year. These people were simply showing up one by one. She was curious about how many of them she would have seen by the time she attended the annual gala with everyone.

Anyway, for the dinner, Diamond understood the importance of dressing well. So, she took out several best pieces from her storage ring and began to ponder about which one she should pick.

She and a lot of clothes she hadn’t worn yet because there were no such occasions. Now that an occasion had arisen, she was at a loss for what to wear.

However, after a back-and-forth banter with Andrea and a call to Ruby, Diamond finally picked an outfit.

Because there was no dress code, Diamond had the freedom to choose any color, and that was what caused some delay. Thankfully, the dilemma was solved.

To dress up, Diamond didn’t bother to change into the suite but disappeared into the Golden Space where she could take her time without worrying about loss of time.

Since it was a formal dinner event, Diamond decided on a full-length gown which would show her elegance as well as the gown she painstakingly stored for ages, but didn’t have a chance to wear previously.

However, taking into consideration that it was a formal event, the possibility of having this dinner turning into a black-tie event was high.

She picked a one-off shoulder champagne gown which she paired up with rose gold jewelry, metallic heels, and an embellished clutch.

She checked repeatedly if everything was in order and once she was satisfied, she left the space and reappeared in the room.

Not forgetting the importance of such an event, she took out the drone, and it went into invisible mode. She wasn’t planning on doing any broadcast but letting the drone take nice aerial photos of her. It’s been ages since she gave her fans some nice photos to lick.

And the good thing about the drone, she wouldn’t know when the photos were being taken. That way, they would come out as natural as possible.

While Diamond was preparing, inside the reserved hall, several ladies and gentlemen were flooding the hall.

"It’s you! I didn’t expect to see you here!"

"Same here. How have you been?"

"I am doing well. Aren’t you curious about the familiar faces that will come tonight?"

"Let’s see when they come."

The guests were already getting acquainted with each other and the hall was filled with laughter and the tension was just right.

While the guests were settling down, the host of the dinner was also on the way to the hotel sitting at the backseat with her eyes closed.

"How far are we?" she asked the person sitting next to her.

"In a few minutes we should be there," the response came.

When she heard that, she opened her eyes and looked out of the car window and couldn’t help but appreciate the beautiful scenery of the city she loved so much.

There was silence in the car for those minutes until the car arrived at the hotel. Perhaps knowing that there was a formal dinner, a lot of media friends were gathered, taking photos and videos, and gathering any useful information that could be published later.

When the car arrived, the media friends who knew the car plate number shifted their attention to the car, eager to see if the person coming out was the one that they knew.

When the door of the car opened and a familiar young man appeared in their view, the media friends were in a frenzied state but didn’t dare come anywhere closer to the car, since the intimidating bodyguards surrounding the car weren’t to be joked with.

Regina smiled at the men and women busy working to earn her more money kindly and chatted with them briefly as she continued to move towards the reserved hall.

"Is everyone there yet?"

"They are still coming, but all guests are well taken care of."

"What about Diamond? Did she make any move?"

"She returned to the hotel a long time ago. She should make it to the event in time."

"That’s good then. Just make sure to keep an eye on everything. Don’t let any unexcepted events catch us off guard. We can’t afford any mistakes right now."

"We have everything in place. So have dinner in peace, chairwoman."

Regina Williams was glad to hear that. After getting the reassurance from the directors, she parted with them and went to the hall where the majority of the guests had already arrived.

The moment the doors opened, and she appeared, all eyes were on her. The guests’ eyes were filled with reverence and thrill.

"She looks heavenly, doesn’t she?"

"I still can’t believe that she is in her fifties!"

"Why does she look different tonight?"

"I can feel you! She indeed looks younger. What kind of cosmetics is she using?"

The ladies couldn’t help but whisper to each other as they watched the entrance of the host of the formal dinner.

Regina had a smile plastered on her face as she returned the greetings from the guests. She would stop now and there, and have a brief chat with everyone, and the smile never faded.

While Regina was chatting with the others, while waiting for the dinner to start officially, there was some bit of noise in the hall, as gasps and exclaims filled the hall, attracting even Regina who was in the middle of chatting with the mayor’s wife.
