Sorry for Your Loss, It's Me, I'm the Loss novel Chapter 436

“If I stay, we won't be just sleeping,” Bennett said, giving her hand a gentle squeeze before letting go with restraint and leaving the room.

Bennett returned to the guest room and went straight into the bathroom.

He stripped off his shirt, his strong muscles tensing. The blue veins on his arms stood out, and a tightness coiled in his loins.

He took a deep breath and took another cold shower to calm himself down.

Wrapping a towel around his waist, Bennett stepped out of the bathroom, dried his hair, and went straight to bed.

The guest room was the one Yvonne had been using. It was decorated in warm tones and filled with traces of her presence. Bottles of skincare products and jewelry still sat on the vanity.

As Bennett lay in bed, he could still smell the faint, sweet scent that was uniquely Yvonne’s lingering in the sheets.

He felt the heat that had just cooled down begin to rise again.

He closed his eyes, trying to regulate his breathing and calm his mind, fighting to keep himself from losing control.

But for him, this was destined to be a sleepless night.

Yvonne, on the other hand, had the master bedroom's large bed all to herself and slept soundly.

The next morning, she was woken up by the sound of Bullet scratching at her door.

Yvonne rubbed her eyes, got out of bed, and walked barefoot to open the door.

As soon as the door opened, Bullet leaped into her arms. He then gently tugged at the hem of her nightgown, pulling her out of the room.

“What is it, Bullet?” Yvonne asked, puzzled, as he pulled her along.

Bullet led her to the floor-to-ceiling windows in the living room. Outside, the river glistened, and along its bank, people were jogging with their dogs.
