Sorry for Your Loss, It's Me, I'm the Loss novel Chapter 440

On the very first day of shooting, they were filming the airport arrest scene.

They started with a pivotal scene, and Yvonne gave it her all, approaching it with intense focus.

In either of her lives, this was the first time Yvonne had ever been put in handcuffs.

"Officer, why are you arresting me? You must have the wrong person," Yvonne said, lifting her chin, her clever eyes wide with feigned innocence.

The detective replied, "You know perfectly well why we're arresting you."

The actor playing the detective was a popular young star with a roguish charm. When he looked up at Yvonne, his cool expression held a hint of seductive danger.

The two of them went through their lines smoothly, but Yvonne felt the actor opposite her wasn't quite hitting the mark.

She didn't dare critique his performance, but she was all too familiar with the police profession.

If any of the young detectives in her old precinct had dared to flirt with a suspect, they would have been disciplined the very next day.

Director Ward clearly saw the problem too, shouting across the set, "Cut, cut!"

The director stood up from his chair and strode over to Yvonne and the male lead.

"What's wrong with you two? Did you read the wrong script?" Director Ward yelled, one hand on his hip, the other pointing at them.

"You," he said, jabbing a finger at Yvonne, "you're playing a cold-blooded killer. Can you drop the righteous glare? Who do you think you are, the cop?"

"And you! What's wrong with you? Have you lost your mind? You're a cop, not some street thug making eyes at a pretty girl!"

"Cops are human too. They have normal feelings, don't they?" the lead actor argued, a bit defensively.

"You're on duty right now, not on a date!" Director Ward snapped before launching into a detailed explanation of the scene. He then gave them a few minutes to break and reflect on their roles.

During the break, Yvonne sat with the male lead, script in hand, and they talked it over.
