Emma handed Coalball to Corvin, then asked Edric to walk her to the lounge inside the room so she could change clothes.

"I'm getting changed too."

Aria glanced at Coalball—who Corvin had casually tucked into his pocket—then stood up and left with her own mates.

Corvin's eyes stayed fixed on Emma. He didn't notice when Coalball quietly slipped out of his pocket and followed Aria.

Three minutes later, as soon as Aria stepped into the lounge, she pushed her mates right back out the door.

"I can handle changing by myself. None of you are allowed in."

She shut the door, then turned toward the corner where Coalball had crept in after her. Her tone was full of mischief and glee.

"Well, well… Whose little ugly bird do we have here? Why are you following me?"

"Chirp!"

Lucien was too irritated to answer. He knew this brat had recognized him the moment she saw him—and then deliberately teased him just to mess with Emma.

When Aria saw him fuming, she quickly picked him up and set him on the nearby shelf, meeting his eyes.

A soft red glow gathered in her palm and drifted into his body.

"Alright, don't be mad, Lucien. I was only teasing. I didn't mean it. I just couldn't believe it was really you…"

Her gaze turned apologetic as she looked at him.

"I mean, look at you. No female would find this form attractive. I can tell you care about Emma, and I doubt you want her to know that this pudgy little bird is actually you."

Lucien stayed silent for a beat, absorbing the energy she'd given him. When he finally spoke, his voice was low.

"Why did you leave Central Planet? Did you bring any holy medicine with you that can restore me right away?"

By holy medicine, he meant the Beast God Flower.

Aurelia had several fully grown ones, rare and precious.

"I came out here to find you," Aria said earnestly. "When word got out that you'd gone missing, I was terrified. I did bring the holy medicine, but… there's only half a petal left."

She pulled a small ornate box from her storage band. Inside lay half of a glowing Beast God Flower.

"Lucien, your injuries are serious. This won't heal you completely—it'll only hold you together for a while. You should come back to Aurelia with me. Once we're home, you can recover fully."

Lucien shook his head.

"I'm staying with Emma for now. I can't go back yet. Give me that half petal. When Emma reaches Central Planet, find a way to bring her to Aurelia. I'll return with her then."

Aria's eyes widened. She could practically smell the gossip.
