Spoiled By My Nine Beast Husbands (Emma Tibarn) novel Chapter 137

**Chapter 137: Expensive Gifts**

“There’s an impressive array of ores, extraordinary plant crystals, and materials of celestial quality,” Roshivo announced, his voice quivering slightly under the weight of the moment. “And here, we have contracts for numerous estates and castles located on Central Planet. Additionally, there are deeds for a handful of lesser-known planets. All of this can be transferred to your name at your convenience. Every single item was sent by our esteemed Wolf King himself.”

Roshivo’s attempt at a smile was strained, his anxiety palpable.

“Ms. Tibarn, I implore you to review these documents. Do they meet your expectations?”

He held his breath, feeling the tension in the air.

With such a treasure trove laid before her, how could anyone possibly turn it down?

Emma began to sift through the hefty stack of papers, the weight of it substantial enough that it could easily knock someone unconscious if wielded with intent.

Yet, she remained unimpressed.

Her gaze drifted back to the figure lying motionless in the coffin—Marcus. His pallid complexion and stillness only deepened her unease.

No one offered a mountain of riches without a reason.

This was not an act of generosity.

It reeked of desperation, of damage control.

And a chilling realization gnawed at her: Marcus was the damage.

With a firm resolve, she closed the file and handed it back to Roshivo. “We can discuss the gifts later,” she stated with an air of finality. “Right now, I need you to wake him up.”

Doubt crept into her mind, a nagging whisper that questioned the match.

No one sent their heir away with such lavish compensation unless circumstances were dire.

Roshivo felt frozen, caught in a whirlwind of disbelief.

How could a young woman like her resist such temptation?

Ten Level 11 beast cores!

And beyond that—ores, insect cores, estates, wealth that could rival the greatest lords of the Empire.

Even the most powerful figures would have sacrificed their very souls for such a list.

Silas, standing nearby, tilted his head, a glimmer of amusement dancing in his eyes. “Grand Elder,” he said, his voice smooth and mocking, “my huntress has instructed you to wake your heir. Why do you linger in indecision?”

He crossed his arms, a smirk playing on his lips. “Or is it possible he’s simply unable to awaken?”

Roshivo flailed his hands, flustered and desperate. “No, no! He can wake up! Of course, he can! I’ll rouse him this instant!”

There was no turning back now.

Marcus had to remain here, no matter the cost.

Even if it meant he had to physically drag the man from his slumber, he would not return him home in this state.

With a dry swallow, he leaned over the coffin, his heart racing as he gently nudged Marcus. “Prince Marcus, please awaken. Your huntress is here,” he urged, his voice a mix of hope and anxiety.

He managed a nervous chuckle.

“She’s watching you right now.”

Another gentle shake.

“If you don’t wake up soon, she might think you no longer desire her.”

Silence enveloped the room, thick and suffocating.

“Marcus? Please, come on now, wake up.”

Still, there was no response.
