Spoiled By My Nine Beast Husbands (Emma Tibarn) novel Chapter 308

**When She Opened the Door to the Life She Was Afraid to Live by Nora Vale Kingsley 308**

**Chapter 308: A Pinch of Trouble**

“Edric’s physique doesn’t quite match my own. What if Marcus ends up demolishing him? This sort of confrontation calls for someone with a bit more resilience, like me. I can handle it,” Corvin declared, arms crossed tightly, his expression as serious as a stormy sky.

In the world of beasts, snake creatures lack the same fortitude as lions or tigers.

As Corvin dragged Edric along, the latter’s composed exterior began to crack for the first time.

Not sturdy? Seriously?

Did Corvin even realize the absurdity of what he was saying?

A vein pulsed at Edric’s temple, and with a swift motion, he pulled Corvin back. “Emma, don’t listen to him. I’m perfectly fine. I can do this,” he insisted, his voice steady but laced with urgency.

This was no trivial disagreement anymore.

“Edric, stop arguing,” Corvin replied, genuinely believing Edric was merely trying to shield him.

He tightened his grip on Edric’s arm, his tone solemn. “Edric, I know you’re stepping up because you want to protect me. But how can I just stand aside and watch? Do I look like someone who would abandon a friend in need?” His determination to take the first hit was unwavering.

Yet, that wasn’t Edric’s intention at all.

“Corvin, please don’t oppose me on this. Let me take the lead,” he urged, desperate to demonstrate that he wasn’t weak, that he could hold his own.

“Not a chance,” Corvin shot back, his voice firm. “I’m going first.”

And just like that, the two young men began to tug and shove at each other in front of Emma, each vying to assert their own form of strength and loyalty.

Emma pressed her fingers to her forehead, utterly speechless.

It was merely a light tap on Marcus, after all. No one had suggested they were going to engage in an all-out brawl.

Nearby, Lucien and Silas observed the spectacle, struggling to stifle their laughter. Marcus, on the other hand, looked ready to unleash a string of curses.

Are these two completely out of their minds? Is he truly that intimidating?

“Enough! Stop the bickering,” Emma’s voice sliced through their commotion like a knife.

Corvin and Edric froze in their tracks, simultaneously turning to face her, their expressions a mix of surprise and confusion.

She pointed decisively at them. “You two are going to fight him together.”

They stood there, momentarily speechless, processing her unexpected command.

Emma lifted Marcus’s arm, exposing his forearm with a swift motion. “All you need to do is pinch him here. Lightly. There’s no need to go all out,” she instructed, her tone matter-of-fact.

“Just a pinch?” Corvin asked, relief washing over him. He had braced himself for something far more painful, fearing bloodshed.

“Just a pinch,” Emma assured, nodding with conviction.

In unison, they reached out and pinched Marcus’s arm.
